3/4 + 2/4 to me would mean measure of 3/4, then measure of 2/4, then measure of 3/4, then measure of 2/4, etc... I don't think Take Five was written that way, though I don't have the original sheet music so who knows... If you're counting 5 or 7 or 9 or whatever then you should count 5 or 7 or 9 or whatever, and not break it down into groups of this and that.
