I have been checking out Synapse-Audio Orion Platinum 7, and just last night I found out about MU.LABS 3.I really like the looks of it.But I have one question about it, does it have Copy & Paste kind of like Orion?

btw I'm so glad to see someone who is keeping things sample but powerful as well for a reasonable price.

Strange.
Edit: You asked me this question via PM. I asked you to post in the forum, because it's not a private question, but a question that is relevant to everybody, i.e. the forum.
Strange that you now say 'never mind'. I don't get it.

Maybe he meant the constellation Orion... we don't know what programs they might develop there...

But I will try to explain because I don't want to look like a wierdo.
Okay, Take a look a this picture of the DAW http://www.mutools.com/mulab/docs/introduction.html
Now if I wanted to Copy & Paste those parts together in the composer without doing each part one by one is that possible.

Where do you guys think Orion (the program comes from)? I hope nobody actually believed Richard lives in Germany.

Copy & Paste together. The "together" is not clear...jamieblac wrote:Sorry about that, did'nt mean to come off rude.I'm just not good @ explaining when it comes to this stuff.mutools wrote:Strange.

You can just about Select and copy anything in the composer at once or selectively, randomly and than Paste anywhere you like. This will create "Shared" copies = a copy that if you modify anyone of them all the other will be effected.
If you press Crtl+ drag (anywhere) the selection then you get "Unique" copies = a copy that is like the original but independent from it. Changing the original will no effect the Unique copy.
There is more but.... lets see if I understood you.

Ofcourse..jamieblac wrote:

You can select the parts with <Shift> + Leftmouse => the parts are inverted(dark)
Than you can do two things with the selected(inverted) parts:
In case 1 you get a "unique" copy
1)- move to a other position with the selected parts :
Leftmouse => drag
In case 2 you get a "shared" copy
2)- move to a other position with the copied selected parts :
(<Ctrl> + leftmouse) => drag
The shared copy method is interesting because you copied from a source part and then all chances made on your source part are chanced too at the same time in the other shared parts

"Together"... maybe you mean combine them into one Part (Clip).
You can, by selecting the intended parts, and right click in the composer background and from the context menu select Merge Selected Sequencer Parts.
It will merge them without changing their time position and the new Combined part will be created from the top most part.
Anyone please correct if I am missing something...

On this point actually, I do think Merge selected sequence parts should also be available from the part context menu -- it's standard behaviour in Windows (dunno about other OSs), and I noticed someone else posted on the forum that was confused by this.liquidsound wrote:"Together"... maybe you mean combine them into one Part (Clip).
