hi,
i recently purchased zebra with use in logic 5.5.1 but somehow midi-learn function isn´t working right. it´s possible to assign a knob/fader to a (responding) parameter of zebra but everytime i select a new preset zebra has "forgotten" the midi-assignment and i have to do repeat this procedere again and again!...
anyone facing any such problem? possibly affected by host-software?

Hiya tmann,

Zebra's MidiCC settings are specific to each preset. That means, you have to save the preset to remember the CC settings. (Oooops, and you have to redo them for each preset... )

By request of many users, V1.1 will optionally have "global" CC setting preferences that won't "forget"... it'll be out late January/ early February...

My fault, sorry...

Cheers,

;) Urs

Hey Brick,

there's currently no "box" or anything. Just right-click a knob (don't hold the mouse button) and turn the modulation wheel, push the expression pedal or anything. The knob in Zebra's gui should immediately become alive.

It's plain simple...

Also, MidiCC 2 and 3 are available in the modulation sources (Assign1 and Assign2).

Note: Some parameters can't be controlled remotely, like the spectral designer stuff...

Oki...

... look out for the next version, probably available within 2 weeks.

It will have:

MidiCC Mode: global or preset, where global "remembers settings"

On/Off for Midi Bank Select and Hold Pedal

Changeable Midi CCs that act as modulation source in Zebra's Synthesis (Assign1 and Assign2, which are currently CC#2 and CC#3). These can also be set to global or preset mode.

I'm evaluating the chance to provide better visual feedback, like blinking controls during MidiLearn, but that will only work if it doesn't make the user interface slower.

Cheers,

;) Urs
