Hi Guys,

Just wanted to let you know that we have updated the UVI Demo Soundpack.

It's now 715 MB(when unzipped) and features a broader selection of products.

Including new multis with arpeggiators and loops.

You can now browse multis bundled with the demo UFS by clicking the load button in the multi panel at the top, then by selecting the "Soundpack DEMO" in the soundbank folder.

Available here:
http://www.uvisoundsource.com/dwl.php?p=pack

Have fun !

ViktorW wrote: Hm, none of the above work, not deleting the properties file, and nothing else. I've also installed older versions of the uviworkstation, all the way back to 1.0.10, but now all of these older versions freeze when I try and access the settings dialog, and also when I try to exit the software.

But I'm sure it worked at some point last year. Or not? I can't be absolutely sure, but I know I've used the software standalone without problems last year, so what did I do?

Oh dammit, I'll have a new computer in two months and reinstall everything anyway, then we'll see.

Thanks anyway, Olivier. If you have any other idea what it might be, I'd be happy, but it seems system-related.
Very strange.

By default, UVIWorkstation use the first ASIO driver it founds if ASIO is available.
Do you have installed other ASIO drivers like ASIO4ALL or something like that recently ?
New MIDI input (like the novation automap driver for example)?

So far I don't have much other ideas...
Sorry about that.
Hi Oliver,

i had the same problem (UVI 1.1.4)...it was crashing if i select either the audio/midi setting or if i was trying to close the programm (standalone) - Also it was working VERY slowly into SX-3 + Console and it crashed either by opening or by closing the VSTi window !

Your Workstation definately have a problem with "Maple Virtual Midi Cable" Version 356 !!!

Thanks god about the vague info about new Asio/MIDI drivers...

After i deinstalled the "Maple" setup via Windows (and restart the system) it worked fine again.

Of course it's very annoying and in a way a joke that such small adds created such a huge problem for an so called professional application. :?

Anyway i hope you will find a solution for it....i definately need virtual midi cables for several other working enviroments and i really hope there is a solution or workarround for it.

Any suggestions Oliver ?

Cheers
Tomas

Just a quick additional info...the behaviour appears either with a "already installation" and also with a complete "fresh" installation !!!

I deleted ALL the registry entries and also ANYTHING which was found by Windows via "UVI" search...

So the problem is definately NOT based on "old" or "corrupt" files from previous versions !!!

Cheers,
Tomas

Hello Olivier,

thanks for the quick reply ! I tried MIDI YOKE (last Version) and yes it works....puh i'm relieved !

What's the matter with the other application ? It might be a good idea to add a info about the problem with "Maple Midi" anywhere on your site !!! It was driving me crazy because first i don't know what was happened. After reinstalling my system on a new PC i installed a lot of stuff, so all could be the reason for this problem. I'm glad i found this thread via Google.

Cheers,
Tomas

Don't know much what's happening with Maple. Might take a look some day, but it can be an issue in their code too :D

Most important stuff is that it's now working.

Have fun !
