Hey folks,

so here you are, the newest update has been uploaded, but before we make this official, I'd like to ask some of you to check it, so we can avoid problems, that happened last time. It has been tested, but there's never enough testing :D.

Anyway please check mostly automation recording/playback (even the reverb position can now be automated) and link in multiband plugins. Also MMultiBandHarmonizer is available ;).

Here are links to MCreativeBundle:

Vojtech, i am lost for words (almost!). The harmonizer has to be most awesome vocal plugin i've ever tried. Seriously. I loaded it into a track where i already had some EQ'd and reverbed vocals, and within seconds this plugin was creating sounds like i had never heard before.
I didn't really spend too long with the granular mode, i was having way too much fun with the vocoder mode. And thanks for adding the low quality vocoder. Perfect for sketching rough ideas out on different samples.

Haven't noticed any bugs or problems. Everything seems to be working as normal, but you know i'll get back to you if there's any problems.
So congrats on the harmonizer. Really outstanding creative tool.

A harmonizer?!!!! :D :) :D

You know the little black ball that appears between bands now. If you click this ball and pull the mouse up or down, it widdens or narrows the band gap.

Well, if I hit record in FL Studio and move this little black ball, Fl Studio only records the automation of the 1st band limit. It's not recording the movements of the second band limit. Is this a bug?

Haven't had a chance to try out the new harmonizer.. can't wait. Also I see some new features in the plugins :) Being able to change the shape of each parameter being modulated.. that's new, right?

Yej, you see, you found a bug with automation, well, good to know it is not the final update :).

Glad I caught it

Is it possible to modulate that little ball? I don't think so but want to make sure. Could you add the horizontal and vertical movements of the ball as parameters for each band? I was expecting to see these as modulatable parameters. :(

The new MultibandHarmonizer sounds good 8) Interesting.. I had a chance to play with it a little bit. Man do some of those presets eat up CPU though. I will be using it for more simple tasks I think :) But this is essentially what I wanted. Being able to change the pitch of each band.

Feels like Christmas since I just got this plugin for free (being a bundle owner). I think it's great that you include all new plugins for free. I really like the new modulator layout. Being able to change the shape of each modulatable parameter is sweet  Hadn't thought of that one.

Right now I've been testing with my crappy test computer. I will test on the DAW when I get a chance. I've been getting a few flickerings of the GUI in FL Studio and want to see if the same thing happens on my other PC.

Hey thanks ;), I'm glad you like it ;). And well, pitch shifting takes some CPU, though for example on my personal AMD Phenom x4 it is fast like hell ;).

Anyway the "center point" cannot be modulated, because it would collide with other parameters unfortunately. So you'll have to modulate the 2 band limits. Well, I'll think about some quick solution, but...

MMultiBandHarmonizer? I didn't even dare to ask for it and it's already here?! Vojtech, you produce your awesome plugins faster than I can utilize them! :D

By the way, how much latency does the Harmonizer induce?

Thanks a lot!

Thank you!

Latency - well, it depends on the settings. In granular mode, you can configure it, but in most cases it sounds good for 40ms and higher (where the real latency may be much lower depending on the amount of shift).
Adaptive granular mode lets you get much lower grain sizes, about 10ms is usually good and actually sounds better than with larger grains, but this mode does not work for every source.
Finally vocoder exhibits constant latency 2048 samples (I think :) ), therefore in 44kHz it is 50ms. Though I tried playing guitar with added harmony and it was fine, probably because of the dominant main tone not being shifted in time.

i'm confused; is this harmonizer now part of the Creative Bundle, and now available to all those who own the Creative Bundle? i was just at meldaproduction.com and did not see that plugin anywhere . . .

oh, and by the way, i absolutely LOVE the Creative Bundle! also, is there a way to purchase individual plugs? i don't need the Mastering Bundle, but am interested in the MAutoEQ thing . . .

Hello, Vojtech,

I haven't managed to try out your Harmonizer in the real time yet but I asked about the latency also because the only Melda plugin which seems to report its latency to Cubase is MVibrato/MMultiBandVibrato (80 samples). When I look at the Plugin Information window in Cubase, there is an empty value in the "Latency" column for all Melda plugins except Vibrato. I'm not sure how this latency information relates to the Delay Compensation scheme in Cubase, however, the other plugins I have (from Steinberg and TC Electronic - namely reverbs and compressors) report quite a high number of samples in the Latency column.

So, the basic question is: are your plugins delay-compensated correctly even if they do not seem to provide Cubase with their latency information?

Aaaha, no no, this plugin is not latency compensated, because in most cases you want to minimize the latency when playing realtime and there is no way this plugin can tell its latency except for the vocoder mode. Also unfortunately plugin can report latency only once, so this would be ultimately delayed and if you'd be able to get much lower latency with granular modes.

Generally our plugins are latency compensated if necesary - which means vibrato, linear-phase equalizers, spectral dynamics, maybe something else...
