Question about a link function 'Min'

I've been using the dynamics on full mixes now and have found a very interesting (and nice sounding) response option in 'Min' as the link. At first I thought that this meant a 'partial link and the extra or unique movement that I liked about it would be similar in ways where 'un-linked compressors do -i.e. opening up the sound stage/response' (with the known down side of perhaps image shift).

However the manual seems to say it uses the minimum levels of both sides.
min: use the minimum of both envelopes to compute the dynamics
response. The same gain is applied to both channels.
Does that mean this is in fact a fully linked mode?
I'm not sure what (or where) this style of detections is derived, but it sure has a different feel to it.
Cheers again Blue Cat.

Yes it's indeed a fully linked mode: it uses the minimum of both channels envelopes to determin the gain to apply to both signals.

In case your signal has very different levels on both channels, it may be interesting to limit the compression to the one you would apply to the less loud channel. It has a reverse effect for gating of course.
