Suppose you record 8 measures and you are not satisfied with say one measure
What to do?

Possibility: Open the sequence editor and edit that measure.

no.. i want to play(repair)this measure again with my keyboard live .that's why i do need a punch in/out recording

1) Select the part you want to 'update'

2) Record the music you want to update

3) When MU.LAB asks "Overwrite - Overwrite - Punch - New Part - Cancel" then choose Punch

Hope this helps.

Just for curiosity, can this be done with events too?

It is for event recordings.

I hope to do the same for audio recordings, one day.

I just thought of a cool feature for when we do get punch-in/punch-out recording for audio.

It would be great to have a "take" punch mode where you could carry on recording after the punch region. Once the user finishes recording, every segment of audio the length of the punch region gets stacked in a new muted sub-track of the initial track.

This way it'd be really easy to audition the different takes, and then just delete the ones you don't want and "delete unused" the additional tracks.
