FL Studio has a native controller called "Fruity Peak Controller", which I know some people use to sidechain to filters/Eq's.
Say you have bass and a kick playing. When they play at different times they sounds great but when they play together at the same time, the sound gets muddy..
What these people are doing is, whenever both the kick and the bass play at the same time, the bass is automatically EQ'd/filtered (the low end is removed) by the kick drum (only when it plays at the same time as the kick. The kick drum triggers the change to the bass's eq/filter. I haven't tried this yet but have been curious about this and want to check it out sometime. It's on my to do list
Wouldn't the MFilter and Melda EQ's benefit from a sidechain feature to be able to do this kind of task? Wouldn't we be able to achieve the same result? As far as I know, only the Fruity Peak Controller can do this kind of thing right now ( and it's not a VST ).
