Hello,
I'd like to realise a 20/16 time signature on MuLab.
Which means I'd like 4 beats per bar, and each beat is divided into 5.
How can I achieve this?
Thank you.

Right click the composition background (not one of the tracks), select "Edit Properties", enter number of beats per bar.

I think he wants to have another division per beat.
I think you need user defined grids for that, which is not yet implemented, but foreseen and on the wishlist.

I think he wants a grid step of 5 per beat (20 per bar). I don't think it's possible....

Yep, my reading skills proving poor again
. However, with a bar of 5/4, you have 20 16th notes per bar; you can phrase them as 4/4 (by playing every fifth 16th note) or in quintuplets (by playing all five). (Did I get out of that?...)

5/4 = five quarter notes = five times four sixteenth notes = 20liquidsound wrote:Maybe I lost you....
20 divided into 5 = 4, so if you play every fifth sixteenth note (dividing the 5/4 bar into four), you get a 4/4 feel; play five sixteenth notes (starting in the right place...) to get quintuplets.

That's simple and easy to understand. Still, best explanation is an example.
Here, have THAT and look at it how it's done

Nowhere near as clear or helpful as sorohanro's session, not really what's being discussed and really just so I can say I've upped the upload limited on MWM to 1000K but here's a silly session I did in a four over five mood:
