Output question

Hi Vjortech

I notice that the Fruity wrapper in Fl Studio shows 4 outputs for your plugins (MultibandChorus for example).

Out0/Out1, Out2/Out3, Out4/Out5, Out6/Out7

Each one of the outputs is the master output of the plugin, correct?

I was trying to see if there was a way to send each band to it's own output. I assume I don't know what I am doing and that this is not possible,but it certainly would be cool.

Is it even possible to have an output for each band so we could route each band to a new, separate mixer track in our host, to add effects just to that band? I'm trying to get around the way this works. FL Studio only gives me the master and 4 send channels in it's mixer as available options to route the outputs to..

I'm afraid not. It's for surround processing, but VST 2.4 doesn't support multiple buses, so dfferent hosts deal with it different way. I'm afraid multiple outputs won't be implemented for several technical reasons and also a reason you will see soon .

Well, I don't know about this not being possible after all.. lol

I found 2 plugins that do exactly what I want I tried them both and they work. You can send each band to it's own output and then to it's own mixer track and add effects only to that band

Please try it Vojtech. It's super easy. It has 3 bands and the outputs in the FL Studio wrapper are for low, mid, and high band.

I would love you to make this possible in your plugins.. please, unless your secret project allows me to send each band to it's own micer track in FL Studio..

I can always add one of these after your plugins in the effect chain to be able to only affect certain bands but I will have to make the bands match, etc.. it would be simpler if I could just do it from your plugins

Well I'm afraid I have to say no this time . It is possible, of course it is, unfortunately its technically very complicated due to current design. Those 2 plugins are very simple and designed only as crossovers, that's obviously not true with Melda plugins. It would be a lot of work with almost no income (and some hosts may very not like it).

Another thing is, that since the plugins provide surround processing, it would nee to have 8 * 6 = 40 output channels! That would kill some hosts...

And for the secret you have to wait, that's great about secrets .

An afterthought..

How about making a simple Melda Crossover plugin at some point?

With 6 bands..

Automatable bands..

Both of the plugins mentioned above seem to lack automation and the most bands is 4.

One has a 2ms latency (Crossover). The other doesn't..

Could you make a 0 latency 6 band automatable Crossover? I bet you many people would love this, and this would be a new way for people to become familiar with Melda
