Hi,

Im on the hunt for decent affordable drum packs. Just wondering which ones people are using as Mdrummer's import is pretty basic.

I was particularly looking at
http://www.analoguedrums.com
but Mdrummer doesnt load any of the available formats

How difficult would it be to map the multisamples (563 in total) from the above company?

Also, anything on the horizon concering more import options or kits to buy from Melda?

Hi I like the analoguedrums.
you right you need to map by hand the samples but with mdrummer it's really easy to build a multilayered kit the opération is annoying with 563 samples but i think it can be done in less than one hour!
If i remember correctly the future kits from Melda 'll be free for the full large version of MDrummer.
For any plans considering futur kits i think Only Meldaproduction can respond it:)

Hi folks,

well, future kits are going to be free. Right now, there is a whole percussion recordings ready to be processed, but there are some tasks with higher priority.

Regarding to the multilayering, indeed it shouldn't be a problem. Create one layer, copy to clipboard, create another one, paste from clipboard and select different sample etc. The only ugly part is setting the velocity limits and possibly if there are alterning hits...

MMultiSampleGenerator should be released soon, so there may be an option to create a multisample from existing samples (which is not there now, it processes recorded tracks).

With import it is rather complicated. As far as I know there is no definition of NI libraries, because NI doesn't want people to use it of course, marketing...

Vojtech when u say percussion u mean djembe darbuka etc... or a new drum kit?

Yup, I mean, darbooka, conga, bonga, stuff like that... Basically everything I was able to temporarily steal from local biggest drum store
