First thing I checked when I downloaded the update was whether this problem (discussed awhile back; I remember one participant used a fancy tuner to diagnose the problem) -- a few notes sound an octave high with some presets. Maybe its due to the resonance settings, but it does sound strange, still. Is anyone else hearing this with the update?

we didn't make any changes yet to the enginegwill wrote: a few notes sound an octave high with some presets. Maybe its due to the resonance settings, but it does sound strange, still. Is anyone else hearing this with the update?
to avoid that,
it's a harmonic response pitch vs timbre setting,
for next update it would be helpfull if you can point
which notes with which setting make the worst sound
in your opinion,
relevant controls are : Pluck, Timbre 1 and 2, Semitone, Finetune, Wave invert, Smooth string, More harmonics,
thanks

Regarding the "off"-sounding notes, most obvious to me, at least on some presets, are the Fs above and below middle C.
Thanks for your quick reply--I really appreciate your GREAT work, especially the killer bagpipes in Knag!!

ok, I'll take care of those nasty Fs, <grin>gwill wrote:Regarding the "off"-sounding notes, most obvious to me, at least on some presets, are the Fs above and below middle C.

I'm glad you like the bagpipes.
Thanks
