You Rock Guitar Owners Manual is here:

I've started a bit of an independent YRG Users Forum here:(updated daily

Been getting details from Steve Leonard regarding "Fret Select" and Velocity Scaling, Hammer on, Off techniques - emerging functions that apparently missed the deadline for printing the YRG 1.00 manual

You want "Tap" to be fixed velocity. It has to do with armature. The left hand doesn't have the force by nature of it's position that the right hand does by nature of it's position. Been there done that. Sure if you tapped all right hand you could control your accents but it kind of defeats the point.
Re - One hand plays on the yrg while another plays something else...
I tried to convince KK to have a zone mapping system like ztars that way you could have splits by fretboard position.
Re splits with the existing software.
Depening on your standalone you can assign the same instrument to multiple channels. Send channels 1 and 2 (your low strings) to a bass. Then send the rest of your strings to a chromatic (keyboard) type instrument. Flatpicker or finger picker you'll have a lot of fun with alternating bass and chord stuff.

Just to clarify, can you channelize individual string output as is, or do you need that above app (or something like it) to do that? I thought as is it's just mono-channel poly. One channel at a time/polyphonic (simultaneous multiple notes). Which is frankly just the way I like it. You have to torture the Yamaha with midi pipe to work simply and effectively like that.

Any low-level MIDI implementation details published yet?
I'm still hoping for live SysEx output of raw fret info, like the EZ-*G guitars have.

I don't have a shipping notice (order 586), but I emailed support (actually before I even placed my order), and they said it should ship next week.riley4reason wrote:Anyone past order # 580 get a shipping notice yet? I ordered mine on the 10th, nothing yet.

I hope they are able to deliver on that. I only requested ground shipping though, so it could still be a few weeks until I get mine.

The first received shipment was about 500 I think, and I believe they said when the second was expected in the "unpacking part 1" vid at the YRG site home page.MisterAcoustic wrote:I don't have a shipping notice (order 586), but I emailed support (actually before I even placed my order), and they said it should ship next week.riley4reason wrote:Anyone past order # 580 get a shipping notice yet? No further need to contact them since your order was placed within 30 days.
I'm on the east coast. Not counting Sunday, it will take 5 days to ship cross country Fedex express saver .
