As usual, Jonathan (hlis93) has been doing an amazing job for the new skins in v2.1!

BTW, here are some heads up info:

We planned for at least 2 interfaces for the 2.1 release (3 including the development skin!). And hopefuly we'll continue adding more interfaces over time! Adding skins to the existing interfaces is very easy if you have some basic gfx skills by the way. As I said before we have a basic GUI editor to make you life easier for that purpuse

As soon as I upgrade to VSTGUI 3.6 I think we'll see some improvement in the GUI drawings. Maybe in that case I wont have to write antialias code. But if I have to, I will

My personal opinion, Bulent: I would go with the Silver/Blue color scheme for the default skin. From what I've been told by people behind the scenes, those might be good "business colors" lol...blue seems to be a color a lot of people like, and silver is a good neutral tone that isn't TOO hard on the eyes.

BTW, users will be able to set their "default" skins, so no problem. We can provide many different alternative

Somehow I thought people would like the silver and blue one, when I started messing around with it I thought this one will work.

Personally I really like the gray/orange, installed it fast because I was excited to see it finished. I liked the 2D one's I did but they are kind of boring in comparison. Perhaps when all is finished I might, caution might not a promise, go back and finish them…maybe…

After I finish these hopefully in the next week or so, I'll move on to the second gui. That should take about and 2-4 weeks depending.

MAN... that blue and silver skin looks SICK! Love it!
Gets my vote as the default skin. (green and silver is pretty nice as well, but will be more tiring on the eyes I think...)

The hole new gui layout looks very very good.

The black yellow would be the best choiced i think, because the other like silver and blue, such like this was also used on other vsti's like rp blue. So with black/yellow it looks more "own"

With the silver skins SM2 looks like something included in a DAW like Cubase or Pro Tools

For me the colour doesn't matter...they are looking all great and what's more important very well layed out!!!!
