This is a great deal, better than the NI's current crossgrade offer for those who don't have any Kontakt player instruments. Thanks for the tip!roland_rock wrote:Digital Village in the UK have just announced a good deal on NI Kontakt 4 - £129 crossgrade from ANY sampler - no proof required.

This is still one the best synths around. Total No-Brainer.

This just chimed into my mailfolder:
Return of the Crysonic No Brainer Deal (AudioMIDI)
I however highly advice you to READ the following two threads:
are these free/friggin crysonic native plugins updates ever gonna come?
Crysonic Apology
If you don't have any issues with Crysonic, this is indeed a no-brainer deal. If you're hesistant and undecided, please read up on them first.
No hate posts in here, please.
Deal runs while supplies last. No exact end date given.
EDIT:
Now I only hope that they return the "Nomad Factory British Bundle" deal as well. It wasn't marked as "sold out" either.

If you've considered online lessons, WorkShopLive is offering half-off membership subscriptions right now, and the recurring fee is locked (e.g. $64.95/yr), so it won't increase on you.

That z3ta price was indeed too good to give up. I remember lusting after it years ago. FM7 got my funds at the time [and I paid £189, IIRC correctly..]
Nowadays, FM8 goes for £70 in the small ads, and z3ta's a £15 no brainer. Good things come to those who wait, I think. BTW, both those synths are still at the top of their trees. an example of designers getting it right first time. If anyone else is undecided, it's less than my last round of drinks cost me, and I was drinking alone...

I'm not sure how this relates (if at all) to the NI June upgrades, but this seems unbelievable - DV247, in the UK are offering the full version of K4 for £129.99! It's technically for users of other samplers, but they point out in bold font that no proof is required - ie, it is open to everyone. So there it is - full industry-standard Kontakt 4 with complete 40GB library for £130. That's bargain of the year, imho.

Hi,
*edit:
A little disclaimer: When I use the term "illegal" in this post I'm not referring to the deal on DV247 being generally illegal (I neither could know nor would I suspect that) - I'm referring to the idea of using this crossgrade without having an eligable product as illegal. Which DV247 do not promote. My value comparison down there also refers to buying the crossgrade from DV247 without(!) having an elligable product.
DV247 write about that crossgrade:
*/edit
So let's compare:
*** The offer in the link you sent:
- Non-Legal-License for Kontakt 4 as you actually only have the Crossgrade
- Possible problems with future upgrades and support
- ~190,- $
*** The Sonic Reality group buy plus the crossgrade purchased from NI:
- Full Legal License Kontakt 4 upgradeable with all benefits and full support
- An extra set of samples and kits with parts of it to choose by your needs worth several hundred $$
- Infinite Player license for conveniant playback of scripted SR-samples
- A prize of 237,- $ (138,- $ (crossgrade at NI) + 99,- $ (group buy) = 237,- $)
That means if you go for the group buy, you pay 40$ more and for that you're not only on the legal path but get a huge load of extra items along. I'd say if something is the bargain of the year then it's that one.
You find the group buy here by the way:
http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?ProductID=4354
And if you choose to join, I'd appreciate if you name me as your epointz referral:

Best,

PS: I'm aware, the SR group buy was mentioned here before, I just thought it might be useful to compare it to the path of using a crossgrade as a full license.

DV247 write about that crossgrade:
If you understand this as "even a free VST sampler-plugin" is a sampler... alright, then everyone could buy this crossgrade but then I wonder why they name a commercial sampler as example and why they don't call it full version right away... I'd definitely check back with Native Instruments and DV247 before relying on this.noiseboyuk wrote:The Native Instruments Kontakt 4 Special Crossgrade Offer is a boxed full retail version for users of any sampler hardware or software e.g. Avid Structure. No proof required - limited offer.
*/edit
They clearly write "Crossgrade" there and it costs more than if you order directly from Native Instruments so I don't find this unbelievable at all;-)noiseboyuk wrote:I'm not sure how this relates (if at all) to the NI June upgrades, but this seems unbelievable - DV247, in the UK are offering the full version of K4 for £129.99!
Sorry but just because they don't ask for a proof during purchase doesn't mean that you may legally use it if you're not entitled to the crossgrade. I'm not sure if you can actually install without naming the serial of the product you wanna crossgrade from but even if you don't need to, you might get into trouble as soon as Native Instruments changes something in an update or whatever. I wouldn't go for an illegal crossgrade just to save a few bucks, especially as there's the amazing opportunity to join the Sonic Reality group buy and get Infinite Player in it which actually would make that crossgrade legal.noiseboyuk wrote:It's technically for users of other samplers, but they point out in bold font that no proof is required - ie, it is open to everyone. Strongly suggest future posts on the K4 deal go to the gossip thread to stop this taking over - which is where I'm heading.

There seems to be some good clearance deals here:
http://shop.ebay.co.uk/upnextmusic/m.html
In particular, various editions of Samplitude 10.
You need to read the listing carefully though. Some of the Cubase deals don't include a dongle, so you could be buying a coaster.
