Shortcut to open plugin manager?

In Edit/Edit Shortcuts I made a shortcut tied to VST Plug-In Manager -> Edit, thinking this would open the plugin manager, but nothing happens. I tried some other VST Plug-In Manager functions but no luck. Did I get the wrong function? Other shortcuts I've made work, like opening the MIDI virtual keyboard.

Try shortcut to Specific -> Plugin Manager -> Edit.

That should work.

FYI: The generic "Edit" is too generic in this case <-> Edit what? I.e. there is no place where a generic edit can be logically translated into a Edit Plugin Manager. Hope i explain well.

There's no Specific -> Plugin Manager on my list. What I see is:

Specific:
___Audio file
___Audio part
___...
___Multisample
___Part
___Rack
___Sample
___...
___VST Plug-In:
______Choose Program
______...
______Toggle Process ON/OFF
___VST Plug-In Manager:
______Edit

The one at the bottom of the list is what I made a shortcut to.

Yep that's the one.

But it seems there is something missing in the code that makes it does not yet work. Will be fixed in the next MU.LAB 3.1.26 which will be available one of these days.

Thanks - good to know it's not just my PC.

One other issue I've found with shortcuts is they seem intermittent. I've got 'K' set to bring the MIDI keyboard up, and it works every time. Then I've got 'P' set to VST Plugin -> Choose Program. It usually works once after I bring a VSTi GUI up (clicking on the 'e' button next to its name in a rack), then after I click Done, it doesn't bring the program list up again until I close the VST window and re-launch it. That behaviour is fairly consistent.

Maybe it's related to the MIDI keyboard issue I posted in another thread - something not quite right with keyboard handling?

Researched this and indeed discovered 2 different keyboard focussing issues that may be related to what you describe. I'm confident the VST plugin editor issue is fixed in the below test version 3.1.26, not sure about the Virtual Keyboard window issue as i can't repeat that here. Please feedback whether all is fine with this test version.

You can download the 3.1.26 test patch version (Windows only, if all ok OSX version coming soon) from http://www.mutools.com/mulab/test/mulab ... -patch.zip

The 3.1.26 patch shows the splash screen and immediately crashes ("MULAB.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close").

OK - I was just about to post that I did a fresh 3.1.25 install which is fine but the 3.1.26 patch always crashes.

You can download the 3.1.27 test patch version (OSX and WIN) from http://www.mutools.com/mulab/test/

What's changed:

* Crash bug on startup should be fixed.
* Fixed a bug in the Windows MME audio engine which could cause unexpected 'Overloads' on startup.

Thanks! It works fine and the keyboard handling seems a little more reliable - the plugin manager shortcut works too which is great.
