I tried Bluenoise's My Drumset plugin - http://www.kvraudio.com/get/3851.html - and found only one note triggered a sound. Apparently it's a known problem on MU.LAB - http://bluenoise.freeforums.org/problem ... b-t74.html
Has anyone tried to get this working? It looks pretty impressive.

I quickly read that other forum posts and so it seems you need to use all outputs of that VSTi.
So that means you can't use it in a rack. (currently)
So better to insert a MUX in a rack then insert that VSTi into the MUX and make sure all audio outs are connected to the audio out in the MUX.
Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot Jo. That sounded like rocket science, but I tried it and it seemed pretty easy. I put MUX in a rack, added the plugin as a new module, connected all its audio outs to the MUX audio out, and connected the output of MUX's event input to the event input of the plugin, as in the picture. I could then play all the drum sounds live by clicking the piano roll keys (A) or by using the virtual MIDI keyboard.mutools wrote:I quickly read that other forum posts and so it seems you need to use all outputs of that VSTi.

But when I made a small sequence (B) and hit play, MU.LAB's cursor scrolled through the sequence as normal but no sound came out. Any hints on what I missed?

I also read something in that other forum about a minimal system requirement of 2 GB of RAM! Otherwise there could be dropped notes. I think it's a plugin issue. (otherwise, if it would be a MU.LAB issue, the same behaviour would also be there with other plugins)

I've got 2GB of RAM. From the picture I gave, does it look like I've set it up right (i.e. is that what you'd expect to see in general when a VSTi is loaded into MUX)? I was guessing at what to connect where, as this is new to me.mutools wrote:I also read something in that other forum about a minimal system requirement of 2 GB of RAM! Hi nicenoise,
Using MULAB 3.1.27
1) New Session
2) Add MUX to RACK A
3) In deep editor of MUX just have the following modules
Event Input, Mydrumsetrocks, Audio Output
4) Connect Event Input (Blue) to Mydrumsetrocks (Blue)
5) Connect All (Red) Mydrumsetrocks to Audio Output (Red)
6) Play your external MIDI keyboard C3 is the bass drum.
7) Create a new sequence with Bass drum and Snare etc.
Press play.
ALL works OK on my PC with 1GB RAM.
MULAB seems fine to me.

Thanks for the easy-to-follow steps! For some reason it didn't play last night but today it works fine. What a great sound!

You can also use a Note Key Splitter module and construct your own drumset.nicenoise wrote: Hi OZ,

On this way it is easy to exchance musessions with other MUlLAB users.
There are two additional drumsets available and the native drumsounds( samplesized or synthesized sounds) to use with the Note Key Splitter module in the modulair area
There is a standard GM drumset in the Multisampla and it is easy to construct from this a own drumset like the vsti drum ..blue..
Save your custom drumsset from multisampla(only 12 drumsounds)and use these in the Note Key Splitter module (assigning to multisampla)
You can use the 12 keys from the Note Key Splitter for a certain octave range
In fact you can use all drumsounds from the devices in MULAB( samplesized or synthesized=musynth) in MULAB for the Note Key Splitter module
