Woah... weird. Does the 32-bit version crash on you too?
I have to take it all back. After I tried Bazille 32bit, which worked fine, I loaded the 64bit version again and e voila it works, too!

So, no worries. Ace, Bazille, Uhbik and Zebra work all fine. I'm happy :)

A weird cubase bug. Some plugins crash Cubase immediatelly the first time you load them.

Sorry if wrong topic, but I can't find proper one for this question.

Is it possible to make all instances of ACE change to Accurate Quality, when host bouncing? Can you add this option to your new ACE beta, like in Voxengo plug-ins?

I'm not sure if I'd like this feature. Sometimes the lower quality sound is different in a good way from the accurate setting and I would intentionally like to keep it. If during render it always switched to Accurate I wouldn't have the ability to save that sound.

Maybe there is some middle ground here with an "always render as quality X" setting in the Tweak panel...

Yes that option will be nice IMHO. Just knob to choose on/off. [].

The new dialog for saving patches is nice, but I've been unable to save patches for any of the updated plugs (but able to create folders) in any host. Anyone else having this problem?

Hmmm... I might indeed have missed out on something here... I did save a preset or two though... hmmm... wonder if anything went wrong later on...

I've installed Logic 9.0.0 today, now I have to update it for 64-bit support... downloading 1.1GB via software update, not yet doing 10.6.4

Once this is through I'll go into advanced debug mode.

So I guess you haven't had the time to look into my issue with your plugins
not showing up in Cubase x64 on Vista x64 !?

Judging from the posts here, there seems to be a difference using them in Windows 7 vs. Windows Vista ?

Havn't booted into Windows yet

There's a massively good chance though that it's indeed a dependency with a system .dll. I'm going to check that out soon...

Thanks, Urs.

trying to give some more informations, don't know if it's related though...

In my add/remove programs list I have three entries about Microsoft Visual C++,
the 2005 Redistributable (both x86 and x64), and the
2008 Redistributable - x86.
Maybe I need to install also the x64 version of the later one ?

I have no knowledge about DSP programing, so if it doesn't relate, just ignore this.

Cheers.

Found this in the event viewer (for ACE, similar entries for the other plugs too):

" Die abhängige Assemblierung "Microsoft.VC80.CRT,processorArchitecture="amd64",
publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="8.0.50727.4053"
konnte nicht gefunden werden."

Sagt dir wahrscheinlich mehr als mir

Post

OK, even more...

I got it working now :)

After googling around for "Microsoft.VC80.CRT" it indeed relates to the
Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable.
I downloaded the SP1 for x86 and x64 for that (I might had them already installed - not sure), but what did the trick was the installation of the
"ACL Security Update" for the Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable SP1.
(I installed both x86 and x64 versions).

So ACE and Uhbik do now show up finally ! :D

Only a little irritating now is that I have now two different versions
of the MS Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (x64) entries in the add/remove program list, but I guess this is related to the side-by-side installation of
certain systemfiles, so it won't hurt.

Time to play...

Cheers

I guess I was lucky in that I already had that installed. I've got 5 C++ libs installed:Image

I agree it'd be nice to only have one but that's just me being OCD. According to the software remover all of them are taking up about 2MB of space. ;)

Post

Well, I guess these files now come already included with Win 7.

Something else...

played around with ACE and Uhbik.
Cubase not only crashed with the first loading of the plugins
(which btw. never happened with any other plugins I own for me),
but also sometimes then I played with ACE, then removed the track,
added an FX-track, then try to load Runciter - bum, Cabase crashes.

Anyone seeing this ?
