Is Amplitube x64 coming anytime soon ?

I'm just wondering is this on the cards at all? A lot more people have 64-bit systems/OS now so it would be nice to have x64 plugins exclusively in our X64 DAWs.
Most of the plugins I use now support x64 or are coming out soon with x64 plugins. Just to name a few recent adopters: Fabfilter, U-He, Cytomic & according to Camel Audio the next update to Alchemy will support 64-bit.
Native Instruments, Voxengo & Stillwell Audio to name but a few have supported x64 for a while now. So isn't it time a big name company like IK MultiaMedia followed suit?
I know about bridging & have used it in Reaper but it doesn't always behave well.
I hope when IK Multimedia do decide to go 64-bit they do it with all there plugins since I use Metal & Sampletank LT.

Really doubt Metal will ever see an update again. All the amp models from metal were updated and improved for Amplitube 3 - seems like metal is obsolete now.

If its obsolete then why are they still selling it. I'm not asking that they update Metal along with all their other plugins. I'm just saying that maybe its time to start porting them over to x64. Just like a lot of other Devs have or have plans to in the near future.Amberience wrote:Really doubt Metal will ever see an update again. They give/bundle AT Metal away with some of their hardware products. I got mine with the Stealth Pedal.

It's much more important that get the new iphone apps out and deal with the "buy 1 get 10 free" sales before something as paltry as 64 bit.

"I didn't want to be silent in this thread, but there's really not a lot to say though. There's no official roadmap for 64-bit native versions of the programs at the moment. Things do work in 64-bit environments and we'll continue to work on hardware drivers to ensure maximum compatibility. I just can't say there's any dates for any 64-bit native versions. thanks!"

I basically works here. Everything works in reaper so far (so was kinda surprise the op has had some issues there) Sonar, it works....but the mousewheel doesn't control the controls.
Cubase 5.5 who knows.....I probably never will
(I'm selling that if I can!!)

I wasn't saying there were problems with bridging Amplitube but there are still some plugins that don't behave well this way. Since most of the big name devs are working on porting to x64 I thought IK MultiMedia might go this route soon also. While bridging within Reaper does generally work well wouldn't it be better to have all your plugins native x64 within a x64 DAW?hibidy wrote:I basically works here. I think so.

Of course! Did you see my other post? I'm all about x64 bud, and luckily, most of my plugs are already therePeevy2000 wrote:I wasn't saying there were problems with bridging Amplitube but there are still some plugins that don't behave well this way. How are you bridging AT3 in Sonar? Because I do get it misbehaving often enough to be a bit of a pain. Am I the exception rather than the rule (I am on SP8.5.whatever it is and have also tried JBridge)?
