Zebra and vstpreset format - need help

I've been a Cubase user for a long time and lately started using the new (and since cubase 5.5 very good) sound browser / media bay. What this does is essentially gives you one browser for all your samples/loops/vst presets etc.
Most VSTi's work fine, but Zebra, NI and spectrasonics are causing problems.
I've seen the very old thread on this but there seems to be a lot of misinformation there; the only thing needed for everyone using cubase to get this working is:

1. An FXP to VstPreset converter - not sure if one exists, but if it doesn't it's a miracle considering the amount of ppl who are looking for it.

OR

2. Zebra presets in FXB format (bank, NOT single preset format) - as long as the presets of any plugin are available in this format, cubase can batch convert FXB to it's (now almost exclusively) native vstpreset format.

And finally, I know SB can be a PITA with all the standards they've been pushing down dev's necks in the last few years, but FWIW, the media bay, like NI's kore, is an excellent concept... just wish us users weren't always the ones who get caught up in the crossfire :(

Any help on the subject is appreciated.

If it's of any help, all my plugins can load .fxp and .fxb, where the chunk part is simply the .h2p text file.

To support .h2p, all a host developer needs to do is load the raw file and send it to setChunk. I figure that's the case with 95% of plugin specific formats, so host developers could just add a simple property list to handle these in their format of choice.

Going back to making vstpreset, aupreset, fxp and what not the standard file format is not an option because it converts "sharing presets" to "support incidents".

Thank you for the reply, Urs :)

Unfortunately, this doesn't help the problem. If it could export to FXB. that would be a solution. Cubase has 2 options: Import FXB and FXP, and can than convert to it's native format called vstpreset. However, FXP is out of the question as converting and naming (tens of) thousands of presets one by one is mission impossible :)

I understand, and this is exactly what makes it so frustrating; we users keep hearing how easy many things would be for Steinberg to implement, but have zero say in what SB actually does. So we end up stuck like this. And it's always the same: Developer "A" could fix the problem, but refuses to fix SB's bad design choices, and SB just ignores the problem...

All in all, I was just wondering if there's any way make it work, but I guess zebra and NI are gonna have to stay out of my preset library :(
