Hi Riley.

My order number was 580 and they charged my card last week and it still has not shipped. It's not a matter of shipping time, I'm in no hurry, it sounds like it does not work very well.
Do you still have the phone number for the answering machine?

Last week..hmmm. You may be waiting for the third pre-order shipment...if there is one..I don't have that info. Seems you may have missed the 2nd..but with all the overseas retailers who knows what's up in California now.

I got mine (arrived Monday) through Audio-Outfitters/EZ Gear. They initially said they were drop shipping right from Inspired's warehouse in Irvine, CA, but that was not the case. They got a shipment in at their warehouse in Salt Lake and shipped out of there. Don't know if they have any left.

I couldn't agree more. BTW, Doug @ Inspired says the gigbags will be in next week, and ship accordingly, for those that ordered (like me). I'll be using mine in hotels as I travel with a MacBook Pro, so this'll be nice.

Now to get that Vista box up and running to try and adjust string sensitivity.........

If you are experiencing what I am good luck. String sensitivity affectss all strings rather then having individual string settings. Apparently I've got bad contacts with my D & G strings. The only way I can get a consistent response is to set my curve to constant(120) At which point why bother?

I've spent a week with it and I'm done with it for a week.

Well I just bricked mine trying to upgrade the firmware to 1.3.3, in the hopes that that would allow me to use the control panel app.

So now I have a $200 paperweight. Waiting on an e-mail back from someone at Inspired.

I guess I shouldn't have tried to use a beta app. Serves me right!

Not meaning to speak for him, but I don't think zerocrossing was negatively critiquing your playing in any way, just the way the YRG tracks.. he comes from a Yamaha G10 background, and once you've played a G10, the comparison benchmark is already pretty high for any midi/guitar type of device..

Thanks soundloop. That's not me in the vid. I guess it was assumed cause I didn't say until a page or two ago it was a buddy of mine playing. So i'm not insulted.
I just like to act out a little when I see ppl say what I feel are in the realm of stupidity. I really don't get too mentally involved with it all.

It was just a stupid remark to make considering it's a new and evolving product...not to mention in the low market concerning cost.

Realm of stupidity? Well, I'm someone who saw this thing for what it was, despite the marketing videos and hype.

Though it's true, I wasn't critiquing playing, but the YRG's performance. And for what it's worth, yeah, this thing is supposed to be a game controller, but if that's the level of timing accuracy it does, well then it's even a fail at that level because I'm sure my Rockband controller performs a lot better as a game controller.

FWIW - Annode and I got Polaris20 back up and running, using utilities which prior to June 20 were freely available for download from www.yourockguitar.com. However, they currently have blocked all casual access from these apps, until the beta testing gets finalized in the next few days. No need to potentially "brick" other YRG's!

But luckily a few of us downloaded what we could back when these tools used to be available, and Polaris20 was able to utilize the Restore App to get his YRG up and running again, better than new with updated Firmware. So lets not spread rumors that the YRG will easily crash and be bricked during firmware updates. There are restore tools available, and the system hardware is actually very robust - just need to sort which YRG tool version works with which OS version! All this should be finalized by next week, when they republish the YRG Control App, and Updater.

Zerocrossing

There are no tracking problems with the device. It doesn't fire off false notes. and it plays the notes for the correct duration. It's fast as fast gets when tapping. There are sensor/sensitiviy issues but Inspired has been adderssing them.
It has a wider and more consistent dynamic range then an ex-eg or a 13 pin system. Some have faulty hardware (mine).

It's not a pro guitar midi controller for that one would need to think about a ztar.
It has a lousy neck I can believe it was designed to be crap. (Following SoundLoops diatribe on the business model The neck "strings" should have been designed thicker (both wider and higher. So they would impart a tactile response. Those things being said. It's still something that was out of reach for guitarists.
