From what I read it is supposed to be in the next upgrade. I would also like to be 64bit asap.

Yes, the 1.0.2 beta was x64 already. 1.5.0 release will include x64.

We're still polishing up some hardcore math stuff inside the alg. The update will follow shortly...

When do you think you're ready to come up with the first hints on the upgrade's functional details (it surely appears to be much more than an update)?

You see, I'm really looking forward to it...

I am amazed at this reverb and loving the textural sounds...nearly got the lexicon but...I just wanted something different and Aether hits the spot for me. Thanks to the Access owners promotion - it's a bargain, a steal...deal of the century (so far)!

*EDIT : Been playing some more with the presets and expansion packs - so much to learn and explore...I am loving this reverb, totally opened up patches, the mix and amazing sonics...thank you for your product Im in awe!!! If I could compare this to anything it's sexier than Kylies bum (well almost and still gives me a stiffy at any rate!!! lol).

Hear, hear!!! +1

It's certainly my reverb of choice, and I have several other good/great ones. You can do SO much more with it than any other reverb, too -- to the point where it becomes a sort of "synth" instrument itself, vastly warping/transforming the sound. The only thing it's missing, really, is a step or gate sequencer. :hihi: (But, of course, you can get those elsewhere and use 'em afterward. ;))

And it does all of the "normal" reverb stuff pretty darn excellently, too! :D

thanks...

Definitely a big +1.

MFXxx... also considering the amount of money saved vs. the lex. :)

What Access owners promotion? I own Aether (grabbed it during the Group Buy :) - awesome reverb Andrew and Denis!!!) as well as an Access Virus TI Keyboard - but I did not receive any such information regarding this Access owners promotion!

WTF?

I've deleted the email, but I received a promotional voucher in an email from Access about a week ago. Maybe get in contact with them and they will send it through if you need a copy. I would imagine if you have registered your Virus on their website and maybe on the forums you might get a response (check your junkmail box maybe).

Anyone else not able to install the demo? (Win 7) I run the setup file and there is nothing in the VST folder I selected to install to. I tried running the demo setup from the desktop like the README suggests and still nothing.

Post

Is this win7 64 or 32bit OS?

32 or 64bit host?

You may try a manual install. To do so please try the following:

1) In the /pkg/ folder of the installer folder you will find a "2C-Aether-Demo" folder. This folder supplies all related resource files needed by Aether. Please move/copy this folder to your shared VST plug-ins folder for your host where you store other 3rd party plug-ins.

32bitOS/32bitHost: c://Program Files/.../VSTplugins/2C-Aether-Demo/ or similar.
64bitOS/64bitHost: c://Program Files/.../VSTplugins/2C-Aether-Demo/ or similar.
64bitOS/32bitHost: c://Program Files(x86)/.../VSTplugins/2C-Aether-Demo/ or similar.

2) Go back to the downloaded installer folder and you will find a "VSTDLL" folder. Inside this folder are the both the 64bit and the 32bit versions of the plugin. x64 is 64bit. x86 is 32bit.

If you are using a 32bit host open the x86 folder and copy "2c-aether-demo.dll" into the new folder you created above in step 1.

If you are using a 64bit host open the x64 folder and copy "2c-aether-demo.dll" into the new folder you created above in step 1.

3) Launch your host and rescan plug-ins if necessary.

Please let us know how it goes.

Win 7 64bit OS, 32 bit host. The manual install worked, and it sounds great, thankyou.

How do you compare this with Redline's Reverb?

Post

I prefer this over the redline.
Better for fx type reverbs and very smooth and natural on real instruments / vox.
Just my opinion though...

I bought this a few days ago. Great reverb, very happy. Only trouble is that it won't retain the license code. I have to manually activate it every time !

This is incredibly annoying.

Nor can I see how to get support from 2C, any tech support page, FAQs, knowledge base or anything else useful.

I must be missing something obvious. Clues ?
