one of the switches is a 6-way rotary switch. it can do a lot of 'noise's, maybe not surprising since i didn't have a clearer idea of what i was doing apart from 'just try a bunch of wires going all over'

555 timers r fun. As long as ground goes to ground and +v goes to +v there isn't much you can do wrong. My new obsessions are the PT 2399 chip and arrays of diodes.

Almost didn't make it past those first few minutes, very modem-y

The sounds around 7.30 are gorgeous, like a busted old record + blippy game sounds, enjoyed lots.

this demos some of the hysteresis, tho it's lost some of the range it used to have.. more dead areas and more 'chipmunk chatter' stuff with ~20 Hz modulation.. i've had the same 9v in it since it was built, over 10 years ago

Awesome. Chipmonk chatter = fly farts, but I still could create a Battery kit outta this. Nice. You mind if I use some of this lovely noise?

i've got a few hundred mb of raw audio from it taken when the batteries were fresh.. it's a big wade and probably an invite for fatigue, you're welcome to them.

that's the small files, not the big ones.. i expect that's probably enough to occupy you for a while

(actually, on review, these first short files are more tonal instead of 'entropic' so proably easy to pick the good bits out of fast).
