Specific or generic does not seem to work when assigning a key to the above command.

Anyone else confirm this?

Checked it here, works fine.

Where are you using it, and on what kind of module?

Hi Jo,

It works in the Modular Area OK.

But not in a rack slot.

Any module, such as OnBeat.

Individual rack slots can't take keyboard focus yet, i.e. the green rectangle around a GUI object. It's on the wishlist.

No problem.

I will just move the module into the MA and toggle from there.

Anyway I am trying to find a way to toggle an insert effect on/off and record the action a bit like a midi control lane.

There may be a way to do this.

If I have a synth playing on one track for say 4 bars and there is an insert fazor effect ON so the track will play for 4 bars I then want the effect toggled OFF for the next 4 bars and then the effect back ON for the next 4 bar etc.

This is a bit like playing a guitar with stomp boxes that go on then off as the song plays

Is it possible to automate the "process on/off" hence record the on/off within the session?

Hope this makes sense.

You can also leave it in a rack and use [Alt]+click to toggle it.

Or right-click to popup the context menu.

Or use the Process On/Off button in its editor.

A module's Process On/Off switch is not recordable.
It's a bit like pulling the module in/out of the outlet.

I would use a MUX for that and insert the phazor in the MUX and set it up together with a Balancer 1->2 where the first out goes directly to the MUX output and the second out goes to the phazor. Then you can automate the Balancer 'Balance' parameter with the values 0% and 100% to use it as an audio switch ;)

MUX audio In => Balancer 1->2
Balancer 1->2 out 1 => MUX audio Out
Balancer 1->2 out 2 => Phasor
Phasor => MUX audio out

Hope i explain well.

Balancer 1->2 in a MUX works like a dream. This is much better than just ON/OFF I can blend the insert effect as well as cut off the effect. The automation of the Balancer 1->2 control can then be edited in a controller lane etc.

Super!

Thank you.
