Trying again

Just giving the demo a try again on my new laptop - I remember there was a way to turn off the infernal clicking when I press record but I can't remember what it was. Even turning off the metronome icon doesn't kill it.

Metronome runs in 3 modes:
1 On all the time-icon green
2 On for recording-icon red
3 Off-icon grey
Also, if you right click on the metronome icon you'll have "choose metronome sound"
Also, in modular area you can right click on the metronome and edit it. I changed the sound (quite an annoying one and very VERY harsh on my speakers, distorting on high frequencies) to a rim shot to 70% volume.

That's weird... no... that's beyond weird. I never had this kind of problem.
Is that the only audio application running ? can be the sound from other program ?

Hi aMUSEd,
I think you are only talking about the initial "Count in", 1 2 3 4 ticks.
Indeed I also get these initial 4 ticks with all 3 modes.
I do not know how to turn off these first "count in" (4 ticks).
But you can change the "sound" of the tick or set the gain to "0" if you edit the metronomes standard sound.

Thanks - I hate count ins and metronomes - there should be a simple on/off in preferences or somethingTheGuysanIdiot wrote:Hi aMUSEd,

Right-Click on the Record Button and on "Setup Record Events" enter "0" Count Down. Done.
I agree, it could be simpler some how...
Maybe this should be via the metronome button or Grey = Silent all the way...?
I think Jo wants to keep separated the count down from the regular metronome usage which it also make sense.

I did that.
Unfortunately I then created a new track and it reverted to metronome and count in on again! Am I going to have to go through that every time?
It also keeps nagging me to upgrade every time I just record 1 track and some automation (which doesn't seem to be playing back incidentally).

That's an easy one.
Make a file with the settings that you like/ want and save it as "New" in Mu.Lab's folder.

No Way. If you Zero the Event setup you need to do the same for the Audio also in case you are using bith.aMUSEd wrote:I did that.

That could have been the issue.
You've said "New Track" right? Then once you set the Setup Events or Audio it's not going to change from Track to Tracks unless it's a New Session then you need to do what sorohanro suggested.
