A MU.LAB 3.2 test version is available.

What's changed: http://www.mutools.com/mulab-change-log.html

Mac OSX download: http://www.mutools.com/mulab/mulab-3-2-0-osx.zip

Windows download: http://www.mutools.com/mulab/mulab-3-2-0-win.zip

Notes:
  • A full reinstall is necessary. To keep your current settings, copy your MU.LAB 3.1.x User/Settings/*.* files to the new MU.LAB 3.2.x User/Settings/ sub-folder.
  • MuSession files created with MU.LAB 3.2 are not downward compatible.

Good news :tu:
Still, some questions:

Will the sample packs work in the new version ?
Do that read older files ? if yes, up (or down?) to which version ?

Sure, no problem.

It's the same situation as MU.LAB 3.1:

MU.LAB 3.2 can read files saved with MU.LAB 2.7 or up.

If you have older patch and/or session files (i.e. saved with MU.LAB 2.6.x or lower) please read the following web page on how to upgrade these files: http://www.mutools.com/mulab/docs/upgra ... sions.html

Note that files saved with MU.LAB 3.2 cannot be read by MU.LAB 3.1.x or lower (not downwards compatible) especially because of the change in the Audio Output module. So best to backup your (important) sessions before overwriting them with this MU.LAB 3.2 test version. Hope this clarifies things, else let me know.

Thanks for the nice update. The new connection stuff is much nicer to use :tu:

Lots of nice things in here! :) Thanks Jo!

1) Modular Editor: Grab existing connection and drag to another connector.
2) Audio Files now have a "Rename File" context function.

My two favorite changes.

Super!

I am really impressed at the sense of direction of MU.LAB. Now I understand why you have such a dedicated user base. :)

Super improvements, but the symbols on the module elements in the session modulair area can be(for me)larger ( now they look too small )
I am curious to see when the there is a new ONE musynth core in the form of a MUX
The MUX for:
-synthesized sounds construction
- effects
- and more

That makes Mulab more easy to master :) and as simple as it can be

Yes, but then the module boxes must be larger too.

Anyway, more changes in the modular editors are planned for the next big MU.LAB update, cfr http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=290626

FYI: This MU.LAB 3.2 update is here because there were already some things ready that were planned for the next big update. But i thought it would be better to release this now already so that you can already benefit from e.g. the improved connection handling in the Modular Editors, etc. :)

Loving the modular editor changes! Really nice work.

The consistency of the object creation/deletion with the rest of the program is a really cool touch (and fast, too).

The only thing it's missing now IMO is being able to select multiple modules.

MU.LAB 3.2 (i.e. version 3.2.2) has been released. If you already have installed MU.LAB 3.2.0, you can install the newest application patch version 3.2.2 from http://www.mutools.com/mulab/patch

What's changed since 3.2.0:

Tuned:
  • Composer: Finetuned vertical overview.
  • When recording audio, the resulting audio part will by default be an auto-named part.
  • When renaming an audio file, also the .Ovw overview file is automatically renamed.
Fixed:
  • Composer and Sequence Editor: Possible scroll problem just after the window was resized.
  • Sequence Editor: In certain circumstances, the editor view was changed when having edited another sequence.
  • When copying parts, the Part Property Panel was not properly updated to the new copied part.
