ZPC-11
(@ U-He patch library)

Emus and Emulations and Emulations of Emus. Not a lot of submissions for this one, but there are some real 'wow' patches in here.

Some of the authors mentioned referencing very specific audio clips, here are links:

Emu (#7 )

(Not referenced by the author, but might be worth linking since it's a pretty specific reference)

If you didn't submit a patch:
Please feel free to use the poll voting. Poll votes are one point. You're welcome to submit a 1st / 2nd / 3rd as well, but not obligated :)

Patch authors:
Please post your (numbered) first, second, and third place selections from this set in this thread. First place translates into 3 points for the patch, 2nd : 2 points, 3rd: 1 point.

You may also submit a poll vote - whether it's an extra point for a stellar patch or creating some sort of tie vote, please feel free to do so.

If you entered, you must vote, and please do not vote for yourself!

Results will be tabulated one week from the date of this post, when the poll stops running. Most points wins, and best of luck to all the entrants!

Quick note - I was using the very fresh beta AUs and I found some random Unicode or ASCII stuff showing up in patch text (/r, /n, and random '/').

I cleaned this up where I could, and things should be readable anyway, but it might be useful to post if anyone has problems.

Ok, I'll go first.
1 - Sturm
2 - Oberheim OBX - Rush Tom Sawyer Bass
3 - Emu

Sturm really needs the mod wheel to fade out the thunder, but it's still a damm fine emulation of a thunder storm. They're all good.

Great job everyone!

1. 2 Beat Bounce+ (I'm a sucker for these bouncy resonant synth basses)
2. ARP Odyssey - Life Been Good (Joe Walsh) (I recognised the sound almost immediately even though I've only ever heard that song on the radio years and years ago)
3. Movie Strings + (I'm not sure what it's emulating, but it reminds me of a sampler patch on my old sampler)

The poll will expire within 24 hours, if anyone wants to vote using the poll that's a time limit.

Next ZPC could be the one-note contest suggested by Bronto Scorpio, I think that would be a pretty interesting one. But as always there should be a little while to discuss and ruminate. This is probably the best time for suggestions for themes or anything else. Thanks for the submissions and input, I'm off working on my vocal Geddy Lee emulation (which should never, ever be heard, but will give me the upper hand if I'm ever in a serious altercation with Simon Cowell).

Congrats Edteneyck, enjoy the prize  .
