This is happening in Windows 7 64bit when running Cubase 5 and NI KORE.

Even if I try to run the hosts as Administrator, same thing, big crash...

help please

It crashes when selecting the preset folder or when trying to load a preset ?
Are you hosting Artillery inside Kore inside Cubase or beside Kore ?
Maybe there is to much 64bit bridging involved.
We hope to release a 64 bit Artillery version soon.

all of my VST hosts crash when I select the preset folder from the Artillery menu.

I load artillery as a insert fx in all my hosts, ie, no more bridges than normal.

Did you try reinstalling ?
And you are always running as administrator ?
Can you see and load the presets, or why do you want to select the preset folder ?

yes, I tried reinstalling.
yes, I tried as administrator.

I can see the presets but nothing happens when I select one.
so the presets won't load, thus apparently I need to set the preset folder.

sorry, I can't provide you with better info in spite of 12 years in business, but I think this has to do with some inner workings related to UAC.

I wish someone would confirm this issue.

Do you have an approximate release date for the next update?

hopefully that will fix it maybe?

We hope to release an update within 3 month.
A last try you could do is installing not into Program Files but into you User/Documents folder for example. Make sure to uninstall before.

That fixed it.

I uninstalled it, and reinstalled it in my desktop, but left the VST location at Steinberg/VSTplugins as usual...

... and voila... now it works.

This is outrageous. I am sure it relates to other plugins I have been having issues with.

Could you shed some light on this?

Any way I will be able to install the plugin where it belongs?

Well basically the new UAC (User Acount Control)from windows don't want applications to write into Program Files. And although it makes no sense to me even reading seems to make some trouble (Maybe related to 32 vs. 64 bit program files folder). So all the preset stuff should go to some location realted to the user with no read/write limitations. (USER/documents/ preferable).
We will do this transition for all our plugins. Only the manual and standalone versions will stay in Program Files. And with the upcoming 64 bit versions we won't have any Program Files(x86) trouble anymore.

With the next update verything should be fixed.

I'm getting this behavior as well. But what's strange is I have another VST (impOSCAR) and I'm able to select a different preset within the Program Files folder with no issues. I'm running my host applications as Administrator and I set the file permissions to Full Control at the root level and all sub-folders. Btw, I'm using Win7 32-bit. Hope this helps.

hey, I don't know what is going on, but Effectrix has also a problem with the presets.

Since the new version in which you moved them to "Documents", they are actually there but the plugin does not list them.

I already tried installing Effectrix elsewhere, and it won't work.

Any workaounds for this for in the meantime?

thanks.
