That means, all lower notes would sound audibly filtered because otherwise the highest note would sound distorted, unless giving up all the benefits of low cpu usage (2x oversampling would be an requirement for up to +/- 6 semitones, 4x oversampling would be necessary for +/- 12 semitones).

In other words, I'm afraid of audible side effects when offering bigger intervals. I may try it though, but can neither promise if nor when
I don't get the math here. Isn't an octave up = 2x the frequency? So 2x oversampling should easily be enough for +12 Semitones, right? And you even get some bonus headroom with oversampling as any aliases above the final downsampled Nyquist frequency would get filtered out anyway (so you have basically 3x the usable frequency rage with 2x oversampling).

I thought so too. You get a fifth more before the frequency foldback hits Nyquist again. But then, no filter is perfect and the inevitable aliasing will be 6dB louder.

As I said, I'll think about it. Touching the oscillator code is not exactly anything that makes me joyfully glowing eyes :oops:

Rather than make detune cover fifth or octave or whatever, just use two osc's... which is easy and makes no extra work for Urs... :-)

Ok, I see. Nice signature, by the way!
I love that quote!

Since we were talking about distortion I had some time today and wanted to explore Zebra a bit in that direction. Here is a quick example of what is to me a pleasing musical distortion in Zebra. Using filter drive and no shaper module.

That's indeed a very musical kind of distortion! Great sound. :)
The more I hang around at KVR the less music I make.

Really nice sound!

Hi Urs!
Can you please add to Zebra oversampling option (2x-4x) for distortion and FM units for future (need anti-aliasing)? :help:
Also it will be cool to get able unsync tempo knobs in Uhbik-D. And create more variations for 'operation' in Uhbik-A :love:
What do you think? :roll:

Yes. Thinkable.

Hi again! ;)
Urs, who make arts for Uhbik plugins? :roll: (if this is not a secret of course ) :wink:

Good suggestions. +1

Could the unsync tempo idea be extended to accelerando / ritardando / aleatoric options? Or would that be something better suited as an "elastic tempo" scripting option in the upcoming Uhbik-X?

This would be particularly good with complex "evolving" pads and as a way of adding something unexpected to percussion sequences. ;)

+ presets search function for Zebra (also for future for ACE :hihi:), at least simple... :help:
My Zebra has thousands sounds and even I don't know what where...
hope you understand my very bad English :oops:

Uhm, I designed them myself...

OK, but I'll try to improve your work! :wink:

Here's a quickie. :)

With all the OSC waveforms we have in the patchlib (and many more being added by PietW.) it'd be nice to be able to copy and paste a single wave into another slot.

For example:
1. Osc 1, wave 4 -> copy
2. Osc 2, wave 1 -> paste
3. Osc 1, wave 16 -> copy
4. Osc 2, wave 16 -> paste
5. Osc 2, interpolate waves 1 to 16.
6. osc 2, save new osc preset

Or even easier:
1. Osc 1, drag wave 4 into slot 1
2. Osc 1, clear slots 2-15
3. Osc 1, interpolate waves 1 to 16.
4. osc 2, save new osc preset.
