question about using Zebra on a 1024x600 netbook

Zebra barely almost fits on the screen, its so close but no cigar. Adjusting the size to small also does not functionality because its unreadable, no matter what I do the fat lady isn't singing.
Can something be done for people like me with 1024x600 resolution to help us fit zebra on the screen?

You should be able to adjust the resolution on your monitor.
Just increase the pixel count, and it should fit better.

most Netbook (including mine) have a 1024x600 maximum resolution (pixel count brick wall) with the option to increase resolution via compression which causes many artifacts and other issues.mcnoone wrote:You should be able to adjust the resolution on your monitor.

To be honest, if you find 'small' unreadable, you should be using a bigger screen
There's a reason I don't use a laptop smaller than 13.3", and my DAW is actually a desktop with 2x 24" monitors - I realise how much I can fit on a screen and comfortably read, and that's what I need.
I appreciate the great portability and value in a netbook for music, but there's a reason that larger displays exist.

I am happy with my small screen and under normal circumstances I can see and read anything on it from a comfortable sitting distance.
I'm asking here hoping Urs or someone will chime in with some secret configurable option hidden in a folder somewhere for this kind of thing.\
If not then I will just say that netbook friendly gui is a good feature request for the next ace/zebra update.

Well, if you just need it for tweaking, then you can alway click the "eye" on top right and choose the scaled down version of the gui. Pretty much all my plug-ins have a resizable userinterface, as seen on the MFM website:

If you can't see the eye, right-click anywhere into the background, e.g. between XY-controls.
However, things get *tiny*, especially with Zebra. Sound design for Zebra shouldn't be done on a device with a small screen, but it can be used to perform and tweak.
