Hello
Well have been listening to various demos of the commercial soundset librarys that are out there for zebra 2 and they all sound amazing.
Only problem is once I purchase zebra I can only afford 1 soundset pack.
Which one to go for?
My music style is mainly soundscape ambient stuff with a mix of light and dark and some idm and psychedelica thrown in.
Just wondering which soundpack would suit me?
Lots of x/y pad assignments is one of the main plus points
cheers

Have you checked the tons of free preset packs around? There's a page on the zebrasynth website about it, I don't remember now...
But I can say there are incredible sounds there, for example the FLARE and Zebra food banks are the foundation for all of the songs I am doing now with Zebra.

Of those I have heard the tassmodia and the valkyrie are two of the best...!
Xenos (another great sound designer) has a new bank but no demo yet...!

Checkout the Soundtrack and Chillout mp3 demos I have up for my Zebra Soundbank as they might possibly be what you're after:spidergod wrote:

Also all of my sounds use aftertouch, modwheel and all 4 XY pads, with the 2nd pad morphing the sound into totally different ones, effectively giving thousands of variations

The Arksun soundset is defitniv one of the best ones for Zebra.
Inspiring, impressive, and all sounds are very useful.

They're all fantastic preset libraries. It's a rather daunting task to narrow it down to only one.
I suppose that if I was forced to choose at gunpoint, I'd have to go with Arksun's library... He was able to strike a perfect balance between 'WOW-factor' and 'usefulness' of the presets.
Hope that helps.
