My strong advice- take it back for a refund while you can. I don't see this happening.
Any news from Muse on posting the upgrade installer?? I'm sure there are dozens if not most of us that have been waiting for this above any other installer. It's not very hard to keep us posted. It makes people mad to be kept in the dark.

I agree. Since we know that Muse employees read this forum I can't understand why we don't get any information regarding this matter. It's okay if there isn't a final date to give out, but we just want to know the current status.

KOMPLETE 7 announced today.

Good job Muse.

I was going to mention Komplete 7 but someone has beaten me to it !

I am really sorry for all users out there that are still waiting for Muse to get their act together and provide an installer for Komplete 6 (previously advised as a "priority"). A couple of months ago I upgraded my Receptor 1 to v2 which had Komplete 6 preinstalled; I then bought the upgrade for around £120 and authorised the pre-installed version with the serial number provided. It works great.... but I cannot help thinking about the posters and Komplete 6 users on the forum that are still awaiting a response from Muse.

I will echo the thoughts of earlier posters (and myself) by stating that Muse's customer service is absolutely dreadful and will surely deter any prospective new purchasers of Receptor 2 that might read this forum. Why do they never reply to any posts concerning important matters like the K6 installer? Even if they have nothing to say, at least a semi regular update would be welcomed.

Against my better judgement, I decided to spend over £1,000 on upgrading to v2 and so far I am happy with it; however, I really do not expect to spend any more with this company in the future. The release of Komplete 7 will probably now cause the Komplete 6 installer to be put on hold.. or never to appear at all.

Lets start a game - when do you expect the installer for Komplete 7 to be released (given that the software itself is released in Sept ?) I will estimate May 2011.

If somebody didn't happen to notice this from the Amplitude thread, here's an "official" word from a Muse employee (posted 26th of July). No idea why it wasn't posted in this thread though..

It isn't a consumer friendly product.

For those willing to send it back to Muse every 3 or 4 years for a refresh and let them maintain the drives it's OK I guess. At some point the newest Spectrasonics and Komplete 7 (I have 4/5) and yet-to be released Ivory suites wil be available as preloads as part of an upgrade and that will be a step up from a REV C with the older products.

Given Komplete 7 is really just Komplete 6 with alot of extra content, hopefully the Komplete 6 and Komplete 7 installers work the same way.

Was the mutiple Kontakt players issue ever solved? It seems that will be the challenge.

On the bright side, if you were waiting to install Kontakt on an SM PRO V-Rack you'd still be waiting and if you installed it on an Open Labs Neko you'd be SOL for service or support or parts as Open Labs is now defunct.

As I type this I see you started the thread at Open Labs Martin.

And the funniest thing about Open Labs is this article suggesting it was the decision to use Windows as a platform that killed them.

August... and still not a peep.....

I saw a post earlier about contacting Rick w/ Muse about being a Beta tester. I've contacted him over a week ago with no response. I guess that was just a rumor as well. They're probably not even working on getting the upgrade for K6. Sadly, I purchased my upgrade in Oct. '09 when it was posted by them it would be very soon as it was a priority. Can't return it now.... :(

Aaaarrrrggghhh!!! (to hear an approximation of the sound I am trying to express load up an instance of Kontakt 4 on your Receptor 2 and then load the "sound of a frustrated customer" sample instrument that is included in the new content library of Komplete6-turn the volume all the way up and play middle C).

**This post is a direct result due to your lack of communication and care**

I was told in October '09 that you would very soon (it's a priority) have the capability of upgrading our system to the new K6 upgrade. Like many owner out there, I purchased the upgrade and waited and waited and through out the months-NOTHING.

It's very frustrating to be told one thing and NOTHING HAPPEN nor any word on when it will happen. I'm pretty unhappy with the K6 upgrade deal and close to ready to pack it up and go with what my gut instinct told me to do in the first place. Use my Mac Pro Book instead of the receptor 2 pro max.

If anyone is reading this and has not decided on which to purchase-GO MAC!!!
You'll get a better response from the vendors because Muse has the install-compatability problems!!
