Preliminary report: Works just fine on PPC G5 and Intel (MB Pro) both running 10.4.11, using Logic 8, Live 8 and DP 5.13 as hosts. Will try MB Pro with Leopard (10.5) tomorrow.

One observation: the 'swell' control (CC #11) gives a useful (= audible) level only with the maximum 10-20 per cent or so of pedal travel (Yamaha FC7). GSI VB3 with the same set up gives a much more useful range of level control, for example.

Perhaps the CC#11 curve could be tweaked?

I don't have GSI VB3 installed to compare it with, but I do have B4-II, and both curves match closely:

Of course the curve of VB3's swell pedal may well be different.

No problem at all here with my volume pedal (so it must be pedal-specific?).
I love the way MIDI Learn works (found out, by accident

, that we can determine the direction of faders).

I wrote to Theo to tell him how great his ComboV sounded after I downloaded it
and installed it. I suggested a Mac version at that time - maybe a couple of weeks
ago - he said he was thinking of it. Now it's here - amazing!

I have ComboSister and ComboV blows it away. I used to have an Elka Panther organ in the late 60's and I jammed on some Vox Jaguars and Continentals in those days - ComboV
really brings back the memories of those sounds. The only thing missing is a set of virtual chrome tubular legs in the GUI...

Thanks for testing, and for letting me know about the volume pedal.

I was a bit worried the curve would somehow be different on the Mac, although I couldn't detect any difference on my Windows and Mac machines.

Well, it's "only" a beta version, but I expect the final Mac version to be out really soon.

BTW, the reason I'm able to produce a Mac version so quickly (I only have a Mac since Monday) is because I use the excellent IPlug framework by Cockos (the guys behind REAPER). This framework makes it possible to compile a plug-in for different OSs and plugin standards, with little or no changes to the source code.

Thanks for porting this to OSX!
Just checked the VST version on my G4 PPC iBook with OSX 10.4.11 in Mu.Lab -- works like a beauty, and one of the lowest CPU consumption for a VSTi I ever saw on that machine!

Because everything seems to go fine with the OS X versions, I have decided to take it out of beta. So it's official now: Combo Model V is also available for the Mac.

I'd been a-hopin' you were working on this!

Really, I'm happy as can be with VB3, but you can never have too many "quality" organs (or organ plug-ins), and this thing rocks.

(And, for the record, I'm working on the AU version with Live 8.1.4 and REAPER 3.651 in OS X 10.6.4 -- everything's just peachy!)

Thanks so much for listening Tale! It works perfect in Logic Pro 8 on 10.6.4. I will try to wrap the VST to PT format, and let you know my findings!
