Smart, elegant, efficient plugins that consistently show up on everyone's must-have lists... around $350.

Navigating the KVR minefield year-in and year-out... and coming through unscathed... Priceless!

Nope the havn't... many other large companies have though, but what's the point? Working for a big company isn't exactly my dream.

However there's always the option to raise venture capital and go corporate myself. But again, I'd end up in administration and that can't be good.

Nobility to aspire to right there... How many stories have you heard of devs joining large companies and then being locked up in contractual agreements that tell you when you're allowed to breathe. "*dev* had to abandon the X project when he joined company Y. He's now locked up in their basement getting whipped to code and having a weekly meeting of 'revenue performance' consisting of graphs and figures created by an external company based on data from an anonymous survey that is meant to make him feel personally responsible for the shortcomings, and 'challenge' him to do better, yet he's governed by the restrictions set by the company due to internal departments failing to communicate effectively with each other due to ego and job security, and the requirements of higher management in his division"

F**K BIG COMPANIES
Logic Studio 9 | Alchemy | Zebra | Komplete 8 | Gladiator | Phoscyon | Discovery | KLCDE | Oxygen49 | Saffire LE | HS80M | Yamaha DX7

I've just seen this thread and at last I can vent my ANGER! GRRRrrr!

Zebra2 has saved me a lot of money and I get better results than with a hardware synth (you know the one) costing £1500, yes pounds, English :o .

Now I don't have anything to complain about, I don't get crackles, pops etc, the sound is frustratingly good! This just can't be right!

I am mortified! I should not be getting this much fun from software (washes out mouth with soap) bleugh!

We all know that where there is pleasure there is also pain, and whilst I have yet to feel the pain of using Zebra2, I just know that in the afterlife there is alot of pain just waiting for me!

So Urs, I just want to say Zebra2? How evil is it? eh?

....now then XMF, tweak the res a little, ahhh thats better...what nurse...take this drug and it will all be OK?...Looks at tablet 'ACE' embossed on both sides...Oh no!...not again!

The author of this post may or may not be under the influence of alcohol / software synths...you decide ( but keep it to yourself ).

Hey, look who's using logic! That means you have a *gasp* apple computer. You must secretly like big companies that dislike creativity and competition...

BTW Urs, I'd love to flame you, but, er, i dont have any of your plugins. So, uh, wanna send me some? Or even better, who would be up for a HUGE (whoops, almost said massive. that would throw everything into chaos) Student discount. Like, 99% off.

Why not try your hand at one of the Zebra Patch Contests? The current one ends on August 9th, plenty of time to craft up to 2 presets.

You can download the demo and save a preset with it. The only restriction is notes start to wander 10-15mins after it's loaded. It's not a big deal when that happens either. You can just save your progress, unload Zebra, reload Zebra, and re-load your preset. You have another 10-15 minutes of fully functional sound design time.

First prize is an NFR license of the plugin of your choice. For a little time and effort on your part you could get Zebra2 for free. I don't know why more people don't attempt this. ;)

/me gets out of the way and lets everyone get back to complaining about Urs.
