It should be fully functional in the coming REAKTOR PLAYER. You don't buy a sampleset(I.e Alicia's KEYS) from them that is restricted for use in the free KONTAKT PLAYER, it the same as using it in full KONTAKT...
This is a con, I bought THE FINGER as a full product that works with the free KORE PLAYER! Now I have bought a partly crippled effect software that needs a second purchase to get full functionality...
Am I wrong or right in sounding a bit pissed about this?
surely if you paid to buy it, you knew that it was being sold as a Kore Pack for use in Kore or the Kore Player? Not a 'Reaktor Pack'breakmixer wrote:Surely if I have paid to buy THE FINGER I should have full functionality
Wrong way round. You got the Kore Pack functionality you paid for. If you bought a separate VST (Reaktor5) then you get additional functionality by being able to access the inner workings of the thing you bought., I should not have to buy a seperate VST(REAKTOR 5.5) to gain this?
Kind of impossible if the Reaktor Player doesnt give you the 'full functionality' that Reaktor does. Which it wont, since its not Reaktor, its Reaktor Player. It should be fully functional in the coming REAKTOR PLAYER.
.You don't buy a sampleset(I.e Alicia's KEYS) from them that is restricted for use in the free KONTAKT PLAYER, it the same as using it in full KONTAKT..
And it still does. This is a con, I bought THE FINGER as a full product that works with the free KORE PLAYER!
No, you bought a full product that works with the free KORE PLAYER, but which requires a second purchase to get extra functionality...Now I have bought a partly crippled effect software that needs a second purchase to get full functionality...
Yes, you're wrong. You got exactly what you paid for. But you're complaining that, since its built in Reaktor, and there's extra functionality available to those people with a full version of Reaktor, then you've been conned somehow. But you didnt buy it on the basis of what you could do with it in Reaktor. you bought it on the basis of what it does as what its sold as; a Kore Pack.Am I wrong or right in sounding a bit pissed about this?
and its going to be free??thecontrolcentre wrote:To be released on September 1st, along with Komplete 7.S-N-S wrote:theres a reactor player????
Yup ...S-N-S wrote:and its going to be free??thecontrolcentre wrote:To be released on September 1st, along with Komplete 7.S-N-S wrote:theres a reactor player????
OK! OK! I see your point! No more wining! I don't know nothing about Reaktor so thought it was a marketing scam...I'll use the free Reactor Player and be happy!whyterabbyt wrote:surely if you paid to buy it, you knew that it was being sold as a Kore Pack for use in Kore or the Kore Player? Its just the same as if you'd bought a Kore Pack which was based around Absynth engine, then you'd be able to use those sounds in Kore2 or the Kore player, and if you actually owned Absynth you could edit them further,

Actually you do.

You're also seemingly complaining that, since its going to be revised to work in a free product that might give you more functionality than the version you've got, that that's somehow also a way in which you're being conned. That make no sense; you're getting more for free.
To rely on that old staple, the car analogy, you bought a car and it works exactly as required. But you've just discovered that if you bought an expensive programming addon for the onboard engine and suspension management system, you could make it drive faster or more efficiently, or whatever. And you're complaining that that means you're somehow being conned into buying the management system, even though the car works perfectly well.
glad you feel better about it. all this "player" stuff can be confusing, but trust me... you'll be better off in a player dedicated to reaktor then you are now with a general and bloated kore player. i couldn't believe i was forced to install over 400 mb of bullshit just to run the finger in kore player, which is problay a 500 kb reaktor ensemble. i'm glad ni is giving us another option soon.breakmixer wrote:

Thread for me has concluded! Feel free to talk about whatever and cookies
I love Kore Player for use with Soundpacks - but did find The Finger APITA to use in Kore, I've set it up once, I want it for remix style editing at the end of making a tune, especially for drum edits, maybe a bit of glitch here and there, I'm not a glitch-a-holic though!fanfarecircuit wrote:glad you feel better about it. all this "player" stuff can be confusing, but trust me... you'll be better off in a player dedicated to reaktor then you are now with a general and bloated kore player. i couldn't believe i was forced to install over 400 mb of bullshit just to run the finger in kore player, which is problay a 500 kb reaktor ensemble. i'm glad ni is giving us another option soon.breakmixer wrote:

btw, it does look as if you will have the full gui in reaktor player, doesn't it? that's how it's showing the other reaktor ensembles on the ni website... if so, where would the limitations be?
Something I read on it and how it was worded, don't know where on that million pagefanfarecircuit wrote:glad you feel better about it. all this "player" stuff can be confusing, but trust me... you'll be better off in a player dedicated to reaktor then you are now with a general and bloated kore player. i couldn't believe i was forced to install over 400 mb of bullshit just to run the finger in kore player, which is problay a 500 kb reaktor ensemble. i'm glad ni is giving us another option soon.breakmixer wrote:
