Quick question.

If I assign ENV1 to the Volume of OSC1, it is cleaner sounding that using ENV1 on the bus volume alone (the way its set up by default).

This is especially true for short fast notes.

Just wondering why this is? Is the OSC processed first and then the bus?

Best regards,

Gino

Hmmm, if you use Env1 on both, then you basically multiply Env1 by itself. That makes for a different slope (and possibly lower sustain level).

You could as well set Env1 to "v-slope" mode and move the slope control to taste...

I think.

Thanks Urs! That answers my question.

I confirmed that the envelope is being multiplied. I made ENV2 the equivalent of ENV1*ENV1 on the bus, then flipped between them... they are identical.

I was making a really short retro square wave tone and I wanted an instant attack. It turns out all I needed to do was shorten the Decay, because the attack was plenty fast.

Best regards,

Gino
