Little preview of a skin for ACE

I'm usually a huge fan of silver/gray gui's but this one I'm not too fond of at first sight. The knobs just don't get it for me. The watermark makes things look too busy although I assume it will disappear in the final version.. I think Ace should have a more retro look but I guess I better buy it first before I'm allowed to have an opinion.....

I don't really get tired of saying that fake screws are really pitiful.
Make the side panel strips flush with the main area, axe the water mark and possibly get rid of the side panel look all together.
Nice graphics otherwise

Actually the rack screws are about the only thing I like about it...........

Too bland - too hard to see the text. Needs a nice silvery metallic photographic background (brushed metal) (like Waldorf Largo). The background logo is awful and unrealistic. The knobs and sliders should be a lot more 3D . Drop the screws - it's a waste of valuable screen space and they don't look real.

...but I'm sure with a few tweaks you'll get it looking great 
'powered by CFA sound'...err..urs will be pissed off by that...change that too!
I would suggest waiting for users to comment...adjust ..then we have a look...but it look a bit like a free VST at the moment

3. and if the skin is made "by cfa-sound" it's normal that it's shown on the skin how made it...

UIs tend to get the harshest criticism, it seems. It's hard to appreciate the work and the thought behind a design when your initial reaction is "blech!".
That said, I also think this one needs a lot of work. It's got a nice overall look, but in this state, it's unusable - hard to read, too washed out, and it wears on the eyes. I don't really mind the screws, but the gigantic "colibri" logo is way over the top. It's called ACE, not Colibri, and even then, I wouldn't appreciate it if it said "A C E" in humongous letters, either. Scratch that last comment if it really is just a watermark.
