Hi. I just purchased a receptor 1 and I'm having trouble installing my softwares. specifically Trilian. I downloaded the Trilian mprk file from plugorama and put it in the drop installers here folder. problem is, when i confirm to install on the install/upgrade page of the receptor it always moves my file to the failed folder. What could be wrong here? I updated all of my muse software yesterday. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Hey,
Unfortunately the install is failing because trilian will not work on any Receptor 1. Perhaps our plugorama page for Trilian was not very clear. I will try and remedy that. Also if anything is unclear in the future I recommend you contact our support team to clarify for you. Also please note that Receptor 1 does not meet the minimum specification for running Trilian posted on the spectrasonics website.

Are you referring to this:Kevin@MuseResearch wrote:Also please note that Receptor 1 does not meet the minimum specification for running Trilian posted on the spectrasonics website.

• 2.0 GHz or higher processor (Intel Core2Duo or higher recommended)
• 2GB RAM (4GB or more recommended for multis)
• Dual Layer compatible DVD-ROM drive
• 35GB of free hard drive space
Let's see if I meet the requirements:
- I have a 2.6 ghz cpu in my Receptor (single core)
- 2 GB Ram
- Dual Layer DVD (external)
- 80GB of free space
They "recommend" a dual core, but they don't say it will not run. I also imagine that a 1.8x ghz might work (referring to the low-end Receptor 1), and it should be up to me see if it suits my purposes. So what is the real obstacle here? Is it the 1.7 OS that is the real issue?
By the way, can you point me to the web page on the Muse site that details the Receptor 1 hardware so that I could actually make this determination?

Information about plugin compatibility can be found at www.plugorama.com. If it's not listed there it is not compatible. Additionally plugins that have a specific limitation to Receptor 2/1.8 OS should be noted in Red at the top of the plugin's page at plugorama. If your not sure about a plugin you can open a support ticket at www.plugorama.com/hd.php.

You're in the same boat as the rest of us when it comes to plugin compatibility. What I don't get is why you jumped and made the purchase without knowing which plugins could be installed on it. I'd be pretty pissed at whoever the sales guy was that recommended it to you. $2,000 ain't cheap. I've dumped $3,000 into mine and feel the same way, but I started with the Rev C when things were looking up.
