Hi,
I see a lot about ACE and Berlin Modular, and want to hear more about Zebra's future.
The next update sounds like it will be 64bit and some fixes.
Are any new components being considered for the update?
Best regards,
Gino

Hey,
No new components this year I'm afraid. Can't say for sure though.
I'm pretty far behind with everything due to some private issues, but I'll make up for the delay, promised!
Some things that we'll probably see in future Zebra revisions:
- Arp presets
- Distortion module
- wav/aiff import (auto-populates GeoBlend wavetables)
- a Swing that *works* (hopefully)
- usability improvements
Some of these areas might go beta this year, but my todo list has gone through the roof...

nice list of upgrades for zebra urs ! love the wav/aiff import and the distortion module
for me, zebra is absolutely awesome at the moment and cannot get tired of this synth. take your time to solve your private issues, we sure can wait.

Thanks Urs, that is exactly what I was looking for.
Importing waves would be a really nice built-in feature. Maybe this is too weird of an idea, but I wish I could set an individual wave to a particular mode and morph between them
Sure it might be mathematically impossible, but then you could have the best of both worlds (hand editing of vectors and curves + "snapshots").
Best regards,
Gino

Hm..you already can import single waveforms as you might know..
Ok, just a single repetition but still it works good..

are you talking about that java script that transforms wavs into zebra osc templates ??Zork wrote:Hm..you already can import single waveforms as you might know..

if so, I didn't have good results with this... maybe I'm not using it the right way.

you need to zoom in the waveform you want to convert and cut out just one whole reputation..
then it works very good, but if you take a whole sound, it will sound very metallic..not really usable,,

More Modmappers please...
and a high quality option for render... I do not need to record the actual audio in 96k and for general resources would rather leave the audio interface at 44 or 48...

Urs, can you also make sure that 2.3 version compatibility remains in future versions of Zebra, as quite a lot of my patches sound radically different when set to 2.5 mode (for most, not in a good way). Thanks
