After playing around long time with midi,
now tried to do some audio input with a microphone.
But as "Audio Input" there is only "none" selectable,
means, that the micro seems to be not recognized.
Recording with Audacity, or Wavosaur, or Win Audirecorder is no problem,
no special things to do.
Tried with Mulab settings ASIO or MME, doesn't matter, does not work.
Any idea ?

Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler!

There is a videotutorial about audiorecording on the MUlab site
But beware that as you start with audiorecording that there are no audiotracks visible!
After you did the audiorecording with the mic..the tracks are there

Yes, I know the tutorial.
(1st) problem is, that I can't choose the mic as input, sometimes only "none", or just now "Realtek HD Audio CD 1" or "..2", no mic. When recording, no sound is recorded (for sure audio input is armed). After stopp of recording, short message appears, that audio file xxx is stored (not directly shown). When loading this file, it shows a (nearly) flat line (1 pixel noise).
Again: when eg. open audacity, hit record --> mic input is no problem, immediately recorded and shown directly.

What shows your soundcard settings ?
Is your soundcard's mixer stripe for microphone enabled ? I now that Cool Edit/ Adobe Audition and some other programs record from microphone or line in even if those are muted, but I don't know how Mu.Lab react to this ???
I used it with Audigy soundcard and M-Audio Audiophile 192 soundcard and didn't had this kind of problem.
Might be something in the soundcard's settings.
Try to get the ASIO4All driver and see if that fix your problem.

Thanks for the hints,
but Mic is enabled, not muted, AISO4ALL driver is installed and in use.

Issue solved.
Have to select the ASIO driver (Asio4all),
and there in the advanced settings I have to activate the mic input.
Then within the next audio setup I can choose the mic as input.
