Yes.

Thank you so much for the explaination from both Robin and Galbanum. Now it's more clear to me. I thought I was going crazy. I tried the Architecture demo waveforms in Reason's NNXT and NN-19 samplers and they did not work out too well. Particularly the range at which they were playable. They seemed to stop increasing in pitch before they even got to a decent mid range note. I have Alchemy, Absynth, and Rapture so when I come home from work tomorrow, I will try these waveforms in these synths, and see if I can get a wider playable range. Hopefully I will be able to achieve excellent results with at least one of these synths.

I don't know for sure, but it is quite possible there is a limit on how far this sampler will transpose the samples. Most traditional transposition techniques (interpolation/decimation/resampling) do not work well over large ranges.

Single cycle waveforms require huge transposition ranges to accommodate all MIDI note pitches. This requires specialized math techniques to do properly without aliasing. Most traditional samplers are not designed this way since it is not usually desirable to transpose normal musical samples by up to 8 octaves...

Wavetable synth engines, on the other hand, are designed exactly for this. Alchemy, Absynth, Rapture, and many others are good examples...

Yes for sure this is the case.

Thank you very much for your explaination. 100% clear. I tried the waveforms in Rapture and they are perfectly transposed. Thank you for this product. I will be purchasing it.

I really love the Waveforms From Achitecture 2010. I just got them as a little present for myself to chill out when i'm not online mixing. I've to say I'm in sonic heaven right now. Back to exploring...

btw. What's the rote note that corresponds to 2048 samples? is it C1?

Here's a collection of 6,000+ Single Cycle waves that I have collected and some I've made over the years. I use them in Cakewalk Rapture mostly. Enjoy!8)

Have you checked with the people who you got these from whether it was ok to redistribute them? For instance, there are quite a few of the waves that come with Synapse Audio's Orion (for use in WaveFusion), plus some that I personally made and posted up at orion-reloaded. Oh, and there are some Galbanum waveforms in there too.

Sorry about that! Some of the waveforms got mixed in by accident. Like I said I have been making and Collecting single cycle waves for almost 8 years now. You have to understand that it is hard to keep track of them all when you have close to 20,000 of them. You understand what I'm saying right? Yes, I should of went through them more thoroughly before I uploaded them. But it was kind of a spur of the moment thing when I saw this thread on someone looking for single cycle waveforms. Sorry. 8)

Don't worry, I totally understand, but you do need to be careful tracking what comes from where. My stuff isn't a problem, my wavetables were posted in the public domain, but Synapse-Audio and Galbanum might have a problem. It's the same as giving out a load of samples that you've made except that some stuff from some commercial sample CDs sneaked in there. The authors of those commercial CDs ain't gonna be too happy.

Anyway, my suggestion would be to work out where as much of the stuff came from, ask Synapse, Galbanum etc if it's ok to distribute their wave cycles and stick a text document in your zip file stating and thanking your sources.

I see the link is still there. Does that mean that Synapse Audio and Galbanum gave you permission to distribute their wave cycles? If so, that's pretty cool of them!

It's a simple question. Why can't you answer it? I'll tell you what, I'll ask Richard at Synapse Audio for you. He's pretty cool, so might actually say yes it's ok for you to redistribute them.

Here's a question:

So, maybe my understanding of what a single cycle waveform is, but, after looking at Adventure Kid's Waveform visual guide here:

http://www.adventurekid.se/AKRTfiles/AK ... index.html

Would I be wrong in thinking that something like AKWF_0001 through AKWF_0004 are more than one cycle?

Looks like it to me, but, maybe it's some kind of distortion on the wave instead. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks.
