If you can get hold of a 1.8 system here's the wiring for the serial cable
The front panel and the MB both have 10 pin plugs on them and printed on the PCB at both ends are the pin numbers so it's fairly straightforward.
3 - 2
5 - 3
9 - 6
3, 5 and 9 refer to the pin numbers of the front panel and 2, 3 and
6 are the MB end. You can ignore the rest of the pins. Simple!

Hey,
I'm completely new to the Receptor and I wanted to reach out and see if anyone could offer some assistance on this.
I recently saw what I thought was a great deal on ebay which said it was coming with the original Muse Receptor and the MUSE RECEPTOR 2 PRO MAX Upgrade motherboard/ram.
When it arrived, the upgrade was not installed and came in another package. I'm not even sure if I have the whole upgrade. It just looks like a motherboard (pictured) and a package of ram separate. I'm wondering if someone can help me determine if this is the real upgrade to pro max, or just an extra motherboard - and either way I'm not sure I have the skills to do the upgrade on my own (especially with no included instructions).
Looking for any help in this matter. If it turns out to be legit, I may just consider trying to sell both things separately because it seems to involved for my limited skills.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Cattivo, it may be the correct MB (Intel Board DQ35JO) but it's hard to see from your pic. regardless, the problem you will have is getting a copy of the Receptor 2 OS unless it's already installed on the HD of the Receptor.

Very clever. I like how you didn't try to get fancy and upgrade the processor or RAM. I probably would have done that and gotten myself into trouble.
Very surprised about the BIOS. I would have thought there was some kind of secret sauce in there... for example to do with reboot behavior after power outages. If i were you i'd match the power rating on the Receptor 2. As i'm sure you know its cheap to swap out power supplies and the new processor will most likely draw more juice.

Okay, I've been successful in cloning my muse os to another drive with clonezilla as well, my new drive (SSD) is smaller so I had to use GParted first to resize the partition on the bigger drive to fit the smaller drive. Worked great!

Hello,
Am I missing something here in technical knowledge? I would have thought that all this motherboard swapping etc was not necessary. PLEAS correct me if I'm wrong. I have a receptor rev c and I am looking to do a homemade upgrade.
I was hoping that since the AMD 64 in the rev C is a 754 pin, I could just replace the processor with a compatible to the Turion AMD inside?
Let me know as I am curious to try this one out as well as a RAM upgrade of course.
Cheers!
