Really want Pianoteq 3.6 - and Ivory 2 in a realistic timeframe.
I know many others are waiting on Native Instruments Updates.....

Just went back and read that, and yes.....seems like a pay for support program. I will await clarification from Muse, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this will not go over very well.mrhudson wrote:Am I reading correctly that I need to pay for ongoing email support from the company?? I've had Pianoteq 3.6 working on my Receptor 1 since it came out...have you not seen my instructions?PhilAiken wrote:A portent of new releases? Let's hope so!!!!!

The technique can be applied to any Receptor...

At least there seems to be some logic to how they plan market both the Receptor and the software. Hopefully it's a sign that they actually have a plan to ditribute the plugs they've promised and that they actually have in mind a viable business plan.PhilAiken wrote:Just went back and read that, and yes.....seems like a pay for support program. My sense is that installing what we want from now on will require additional support which will cost us something. Support costs were probably something that was killing them.
If they offer what I want and the support cost is resonable then I would do it.
It's interesting that the prices of a Receptor are cheaper than what Sweetwater is now selling them for. Could be that they drop ditribution channels all together to incresaase their profits.
I'm not against that if they can support us better by doing so.

I think you are right...they took that feature away from Receptor 2 owners.PhilAiken wrote:I have seen that - but it indicates that Receptor 2 owners can do longer do registry modification - (I have a version 2).
Am I misinterpreting?
There must be a way to do it since it is Linux/Wine...you'll probably have an installer by the time you figure it out though. Such a shame that there is a Linux native version of Pianoteq too and Muse can't provide access to either.
Good luck,

I didn't get that impression reading the service plans. I expected some sort of support for installing tricky non-supported plugs or a price that would include one refresh of the plugs in the 3 year plan.Clie wrote: My sense is that installing what we want from now on will require additional support which will cost us something. Microsoft does their $250 per incident support, creates a VPN session, and will run diagnostics and apply custom patches remotely. Ideally I think that's what users would prefer to ship and wait.
