Urs, is there any chance there will be more presets for those of us who are synth programming challenged?
Also, it is great to give those guys credit for their presets but has anyone put the presets into a more normal (pads, lead, fx, etc) type of organization?
And can I have a copy?

The upcomming V1.1 will have...
- all presets ordered in categories (bass, pads, etc)
- icons for preset categories in the menu
- preset up/down buttons for easier stepping through a bank/folder
- Midi Program changes and Midi Bank Select
- approx. 150 more presets that I collected from users
- maybe (hopefully) a 128 preset signature bank by a renoun guy, but he wants a feature in first that I havn't given him yet, so it might come some weeks later...
- 50% - 75% of all feature requests
...hopefully within 2 weeks
Ooops, there's a Zebra presets update here:

Cheers,

That's fantastic, Urs.
I have provided green grass for the Zebras on many of my tracks-in-process.
...great job!!!

Hey Flexy!
Look what I'm also working on:

Looks like this gadget works as envelope, step sequencer and parameter chopper... only a visual draft now, but I can assure you it'll find heavy use in future presets
Cheers,
Urs

I was just starting to discover that with my Micro Tera.
Looking forward to having it in Zebra!

Well, it will probably not as flexible as in Tera, but it will be like anything else in Zebra: Easy to use, fits 98.9+% of needs.
It won't do anything like spline curves or so (hehe, have you ever really used them?), but I think it'll be a big goodie. Can't live without it anymore.
Oh, and there'll be 2 of them, just to start with.
The levels can be controlled by the XY controls, so you can morph/automate rhythmic content
Hmm, I'm just now thinking of this: Should I release early, or should I build in a Zoyd-like modular routing with (all optional) 2nd filter, waveshaper and suboscillator first?!?
Other than that, I'm pretty finished, so it can go beta in 1-2 days...
I must say, I am happy with those tabbed panes. It was a good idea to go this way, and to have the application of them seperated as they are. All I had to do was adding another tab in the bottom, and I could add most of the new stuff. Fortunately, this doesn't hurt Zebra's assets. It's still Zebra, it doesn't get crowded with confusing things.
(Oh well, I'm getting sentimental - I'm still kinda like drunk from the 4-full-pages review in German Keyboards magazine...)

Urs

Really looking forward to it!
I use Zebra more than any other Synth. It just "Fits".

Thanks
I've just sent a preliminary beta out to the testers. With some luck it will be finished soon enough to put in the new advanced features as well. Dunno.
However, I had great fun doing some weird rhythms with the new MultiStage envelopes this afternoon
Can't wait to make it public
Cheers,
Urs

Can't wait to have it.
So these features will be in 1.1? Soon to be released?
Does this "renoun guy" have this version?

Yes*, yes and yes.digitanimation wrote:Can't wait to have it.

Ooopsi... replace "renoun" with "renown"... a little typo
*these features are 5 - 6 new Modulators (incl. 2 MultiStage Envelopes), enhancements in midi + preset world (look above), and - depending on feedback to current build - maybe some more nice features. I'm quite certain though that the super advanced stuff, like 2nd filter and waveshaper won't make it into V1.1, as these require a whole lot of work/tuning. I'd rather spend some time on making current things faster

Oh, man! And normally I like to correct everyone's grammer in these forums.
I missed a golden opportunity.
No one's gonna take me seriously any more.
