Hi guys,

For those of you who use MOTU BPM, is it possible to map a single sample chromatically to all the pads, like in FXpansion GURU, with a single right-click mouse click ?

Let's say I have a piano chord (no matter what's the scale/tone) on the first pad, and I want it on all 16 pad, being pitched automatically in a chromatic way : +1 semi-tone on each following pad and so on.

That said, after it's done if possible, could I change the pitch manually in the sample editing window ?

By the way, how is the time-stretch/pitch-shift algo ? I hope there isn't too many artifacts.

Would be could to have something as great sounding as iZotope Radius algo...

For those who might be interested by the answer, here is what I answered to the same question in PM

You can't map chromatically a sample to all pads in one click but you can do it in the rack part of BPM.

Still you can change the pitch of each pad and assign the same sample multiple time to each pads.

The pitch shift time stretch algorithm is the same than UVIWorkstation so you can try it there. Only MOTU Ethno 2 feature a algorithm equivalent to izotope Radius. FWIW the algorithm used in BPM/UVIWorkstation is in fact from izotope and is called Omega on their website if I remember correctly.

I'm interested in purchasing a few libraries from UVI, but I'm looking for some nice rompler brass sections that I can layer in UVI workstation along with some of their synth anthology + other libraries.. What does UVI have in terms of rompler brass sounds, brass sounds found on say a motif,korg..Not interested in classical sounding real brass so much,but the rompler sounds.. Is there any demo's of these? Does UVI have any?

Nope, they are forwarding the requests I've made,but that may take awhile unfortunately. They sound too pretty for the music I do,lol. I like sections that have some power, HS at the moment don't do it for me.

What about Kontakt Sax & Brass for Free Kore Player?

Never tried it,are these the same brass instruments found in Kontakt's factory library? If so I'm not impressed with them.More so looking for similar brass's sections found in workstation romplers,like motif's..

There is some in PlugsoundPro but not so sure that would fit your needs.

However those in the waveframe soundbanks can be the kind of things you are looking for.

Hi,

The http://www.uvisoundsource.com website is only about download.
So everything you see on it is available as download.

Only the one available on http://www.ultimatesoundbank.com are available as physical purchase too and you need to use this website to purchase those in this format. (some day both will be merged)

For what it worth, all soundbanks are always available as downloads while some are not available as physical purchase and waveframe is an example of this(only downloadable)

Regarding your last question, UVIWorkstation will be able to play your MachFive 2 soundbanks if you have the proper auth (ilok plugged).

This is true for all UVI based instrument's soundbanks: MOTU Electric Key, MOTU Symphonic Instrument, MOTU Ethno 1 & 2 and MOTU BPM (obviously for this one: kits & patterns will not work in UVIWorkstation).

Those assertions are valid for MOTU BPM as well.

One more question to those who would know.. if I make multi's in uvi workstation with it's sounds or other uvi sounds - will motu bpm be able to load and play these back, if so what's the folder structure like, how should I set this up in order for bpm to load them?
