Hi, I'm having a problem registering ACE. I just received my confirmation email, and I can open the registration window with no problem. But as I start to type in my name, something weird happens. The first letter is an "R" and every time I try to enter an uppercase "R" the step-record window opens. I tried entering a lowercase "r" and it won't even accept it. I tried entering other letters and I notice that a lot of them aren't accepted. I guess these are all hotkeys used for ACE?
Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks!
Can't register ACE (??)

Ah... greedy hosts they are!
Just use Hermann Seib's excellent Savihost for the registration and you're all set!

Ha, I think I figured it out. It must be a problem with the way Sonar handles the plugin. I guess it leaves the interface active even if the registration window is open. I opened the plugin with another VST host and had no problems registering.

Make sure you 'Run as Adminstrator' when opening your host in Windows 7, if you use that OS. That has helped a few plugin registration problems I've had.

Urs, I guess we posted at exactly the same time! Savihost is exactly what I used to register. Also, this "glitch" also happens when I try to save a patch name--if the letters are a hotkey, I can't type them, while at the same time the hotkey function is activated.Urs wrote:Ah... greedy hosts they are!

One good thing is that I accidentally discovered the excellent step-recording feature!
