If I remember correctly automap use VST parameters to map its controllers, unfortunately UVIWorkstation doesn't export any.
So unless I'm mistaken, both do not go well together.

Sorry about that.

Just noticed the search function, that's slick.. Are we able to load our own wav's and rex's and add them to the search, or can we add fav's list? eg: I'm starting to create Multi's would I be able to load and search for them, using this feature, or can I make a fav's for easy searching?
thank ya

So far indexing and searching is limited to soundbank content but we may expand that to other folder in a future version.
In the meantime, you can add favorites to the volume list for a faster access to some HD directory.
You just need to DnD the folder on the list on the left, and a shortcut to that folder will be added to the favorite list.

Hope this helps.

A question I have with the UVI Workstation is: how to define a keymap for several instruments, each loaded in a part with defined effects, and each mapped to a different key range.

For instance, using Percussion Store, I'd like to load 3 Surdos, each tunedm i.e pitch modified, and then play all of them from a single midi piano-roll. That would make it very simple to create a batucada session.

Easy one.

Click the Expert button on the top left.

Now on the part list, you will be able to set the vel/key range of each part and possible keyswitch. (Don't forget to toggle the check box of the ranges you are changing)
You can change the MIDI input channel on the left of each part.

MIDI transpose is available in the main view using the oct and semi spinners on the right of each part.

Hope this answers your question.

Merci. It works perfectly, and I can combine that with the FX pitch shifting to adjust the drum tuning.

After a bit of experimenting, I ended up concluding this Percussion Store Libray is really good, but it would be great to have the following things in the user manual

- An "HOWTO" section in the user manual to describe how to achive typical settings

- A description of the articulations (and key mapping) available for each instrument. Without it, we are left to guesswork by ear, but this is hard when one isn't familiar with an instrument, although it has a bit of knowledge about it.

- Mentionning this forum as a way to get some quick information. I came across it by googling quite a lot.

Very French user manual, i.e. purely descriptive of what the tool does instead of what the user would like to achieve :?  NOTE: I'm French, but spent most of my pro life in the US ....

Forwarded to sound guys and guy in charge of the manual.
Regarding the forum, this is not the official way so that's why it not mentioned. I do it more by courtesy.

FYI: I'm describing (in French) my experiments to create a complete batucada using Percussion Store in the following forum http://bossa-nova.forumactif.com/compos ... -t2640.htm (http://bossa-nova.forumactif.com/composition-et-pratique-instrumentale-f3/la-batucada-avec-uvi-percussion-store-t2640.htm)
