No, it's not your fault that the internet tends to make grown-ups* behave like little kids.

That your complaints-thread is still empty yet is saying something.

(*including myself, I'm afraid )

I try not to judge on that. I've been angry with a company before. Did me no good, and it didn't hurt the company either. But I can understand how both sides feel. "It's like Rashomon all over again," as Yogi Berra didn't say.

you are trying tho

[on cue] "Yes. Very trying."

But the things is, the more anonymous people are, the wilder and more undiciplined they tend to behave - and the less there's a chance that their problems will get solved. You usually do not see people in shops shouting insults at the assistants if they have valid complaints.

Unfortunately though, companies tend to be much more shameless either.

You must not shop much in NYC. :hihi:

Jokes aside, Meffy, thanks for the effort...

would you like my name and address? all of the people i've done business with for the past four years have it.

if i would have scammed those people like crysonic has done over and over, i doubt i would have been given a third chance... in fact, i would have been banned the first time i was dishonest to a single person. nice double standard.

Post

Meffy already explained why it is not a double-standard.

But still, if the complaints are true (which I have n reason to doubt) then I think both Ben and AudioMidi should act in some way.

I never claimed my free third product fromm the no-brainer deal - will do now.

No, I'm afraid not. :(

I'll write them again.

Hi!!

Guess what , after a couple more emails I heard from Crysonic and I now have all three activation codes I needed from them. Just wanted to report this back. Anyone else who is waiting for a reply from them, I would recommend emailing them again.

Just to put a tiny, tiny bit of perspective...

This is a small development company, I wouldny be suprised if it was just Jay, who most probably has a day job and business is no longer about selling plugins but dealing with a multitude of rabid customers....

I would have folded along time ago and I certainly wouldnt want to settle things in this forum where every word used and semantic is overly analised, criticised and twisted in true Orwelllian fashion (just take a look at the 1st page) Lol

Nb: Im a satisfied customer, Spectalive sounds amazing and is pure voodoo from where Im sitting :D

Post

I can "not" help resolving anything, I'm not customer anymore and you (Meffy) wrote "no personal issues, no backstories". So there you go - my post on Page one still applies.

Glad that I was of help.

Well, I'm not that kind of user which likes to bother support so my opinion may be biased ;)

I bought their products via their no-brainer deal and ... I'm satisfied. I use their Crysonic nXtasy in my every (!) project. And that limiter plugin is also very good. It was well worth for 20 $ (honestly, I value it much much more - I just love that I can tweak the sound veeery fast). But yes, the truth is : Plugins work for me so I don't need their support :)

So what host are you using them in then? It's valuable info for all to know in which hosts these plugins work and in which they don't.

If only Reaper gives GUI bugs, then maybe filing a bug report at Cockos is worth the trouble too.
My MusicCalc is temporary offline.
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. :borg:

This is what I sent yesterday at half past ten p.m.:

Hello,

I bought the AudioMidi Crysonic 'no-brainer deal' and was promised a third plugin for free.

Initially I had planned to wait until you announce new upcoming products, but I now decided that I would like to take Spectralive NXT 3.5 anyway.

Regards&thanks in advance,

Jens Leuner

and this is the reply I received today at a quarter past one p.m.:

Hi,

Thank you very much for purchasing the latest SPECTRALIVE NXT V3.5! Below you will find the download link to the full version in one zip file. The zip file contains the version for PC in Native VST format and Mac OS X (PPC and Intel Mac) AudioUnit /VST versions including factory presets for both platforms. Please read the included manual for propper use. . Thanks again!

I use them in Reaper - the bug is a nuisance, but nothing a user can't live with. The sound of the plugin makes more than just up for it.
