How do I route/setup ERA in Sonar for multi timbral action ?
I'm currently using the demo of ERA until this friday or next when I will be purchasing the full version [is the demo limited to only one channel ?]

ERA doesn't make sound, so it can't be called multitimbral.
You can, however set each of the 12 tracks individually to any midi channel under the Track setup icon (the one with three horizontal lines). This allows you to play several VSTi and hardware instruments at once.
Instead of me explaining how to do this I will direct you to page 59 of the manual. If you don't read the manual you will miss out most of the best features of this incredible piece of code.
