Ssshhhh.... don't tell anybody...
For readers of Electronic Musician magazine only.
Use code EMFALL2010 when purchasing Tassman 4 via the AAS website to drop the price to $99 thru September.
Only useful to those of us who exercised great self-restraint and made it through the end of August without buying this thing. And are still dealing with the GAS of it all.

I need new headphones so I dropped the hammer. Not sure how good they are.
I got a free pair of audio technica headphones with a magazine subscription and they are really poor

Were they the same model?budd1405 wrote:thefyn wrote:Headphones: Audio-Technica ATH-M20 $29.99 shipped one day only:

They came today:
Verdict - PERFECT for what I need them for. They don't sound good, but they sound honest. Woofy in my dark mixes and grating in my overly bright mixes. Perfect for tracking/mixing. Not so great for everyday album listening etc.
I've been having problems with my mixes sounding crap in the car, or home theater. I have a feeling this will give me that level of linearity I have been missing.

Magix has cut $50.00 off of Vandal until Sept 13, so it's only $150.00. If you subscribe to their newsletter, you can get a promotional code for another $15.00 off too, for a total savings of over 30%. Not bad...

IK's Amplitube Metal is $49.99 through September 6. Use coupon code "LABORDAY" in the IK webstore. Nice deal! Valid for US and Canada users only, I'm afraid.

Can't be true ... but it seems to be right. I had no success trying the promo code.

I got a postcard from Cakewalk today that offered half off the upgrade to 8.5 for loyal customers (people who have upgraded multiple times). I ordered the upgrade from 7 Studio to 8.5 Producer for $99.
The link is worthless as they state on the site that they will be manually checking each order to make sure you were sent the card, but keep an eye out in the mail if you're a Sonar customer.

Email today from Guitar Center with $30 off purchases greater than $199 thru 9/12/10.
NOT SURE if this will be applied to the Komplete 7 update which comes in at exactly $199, but I may give this a shot.
Cheers

I threw mine in the recycle, didn't even read it. Almost recycled it last night. Not sure why they didn't send an email. What century is this?

Just did a quick search of this forum and didn't see it mentioned, so...
Looks like Best Service is blowing out Circle for about 1/3 of the usual price. Note, it said while supplies last.
Going for 59 Euro including VAT; 49.58 excluding VAT. GBP is 49.31/41.44; and $64.75 in USD
Plus whatever shipping is.
Thought I'd post the link in case anyone is interested.
